I wish I could give Folk City 10 stars. The best experience from beginning to end. My tatto artist name was JACK. Really nice guy. The epitome of professionalism and genuity.
I had him to tattoo a heart in memory of my mothers passing in 2003. My mother passed away from cancer, and it still hurts to this day.
Once I showed Jack a picture of the heart. He says," DO YOU MIND IF I PUT MY ADDED TOUCH TO IT? I said sure.
He sketch me a heart with flowers on it. Unbelievable, it was DOGWOOD FLOWERS. That was my mother's favorite tree. The dogwood tree. Needless to say it brought tears to my eyes. And it was absolutely beautiful.. Beautiful and clean establishment also. The restroom is IMMACULATE. So clean that you can eat in there. Thank you all again FOLK CITY. THANK YOU JACK!!!!!!!!! (:

This place is extremely clean and low key. The artists are professional but also friendly. Some take longer than others to get appointments with although that depends on how busy they are which is understandable. They're work, from what I've seen is really good and they are all really willing to answer any questions you may have.

Many thanks to Davey Sheets for an excellent job repairing/finishing a tattoo started by another artist at another shop. Terrible. Waited 20ins for the piercer because she was with another client. As soon as she was done she started helping someone who came in after me ( and no, she did not have an appointment.)
Went to Finders Keepers instead... much better service.
