Their service and quality of work is unmatched in the county as far as I'm concerned. tattoo of a bear that Jesse put on me won him an award and is now on display in the White River valley tattoo exhibit. Great place, really great and fun people did absolutely amazing job on my tattoo would definitely recommend.

We called & were told to head on in & that they should be able to fit us in their schedule, of course understanding they may get busy. Got there and they asked us for a photo of what we were looking for and said they had some time. As soon as we showed them some basic tribal tattoo ideas, the younger gentleman said they would need a bunch of time to draw it out etc when we had a photo they could print, we told them we drove pretty far and we’re looking for a spontaneous tattoo, to which he replied “good luck getting anyone to do that tonight” and continued on to say that he “wouldn’t” do the tattoo how the picture looked. Which was like, well why ask us for a photo then? They were very unfriendly and clearly do NOT need the business and lost about a grand between the two of us just tonight. We drove about two blocks up to triple crown tattoo and they competently took us in and sketched it up and said it would be pretty simple and got us right in. They were very friendly and accommodating and within 5 minutes of talking to them we decided we found our new tattoo place! when talking with new clients it’s a good idea to make a good impression when we’re likely to spend thousands on our sleeves & other tattoos we want. At least be more friendly and don’t tell your potential clients that they won’t find anywhere to do their tattoos (or the way we want) for a walk in when we called and asked if we could walk in and were told to come on by and you’d get us taken care of, only to be immediately turned down for a pretty basic tattoo with mostly lines and circles. Definitely didn’t seem very inviting, wouldn’t go back. Go up the block to triple crown, very friendly staff and they get you taken care of! If you can’t do the most basic designs, probably only take appointments and don’t offer walk ins. I will say the younger gentleman was all ego and no “listen” just though he knew everything and convinced us no one would do it for us tonight, only to have the very next place say easy peasy. I get being busy but they weren’t busy in there and they had one customer at the time. Didn’t even apologize that they couldn’t do it and just dismissed our tattoo ideas. I thought it was extra rude he said specifically he wouldn’t do it how I wanted but would figure out something similar in the next few weeks... yeah no thanks, I’ll take a business that puts the clients wishes on demand over what they feel like doing. Walking out some clients told us they also had a bad experience with the younger gentleman just before that. Better yet the younger ego boy didn’t even ask the older gentleman who we spoke to on the phone if he wanted to do our tattoos and when I mentioned that we spoke to him about getting them done he just said he “doubted” that the older gentleman could do what we wanted. Long review for a long drive and bad experience. I’m sure everyone has a different experience but it irks me when people have no pride in their business skills. Work on your disposition with new clientele. A friendly atmosphere changes everything when you’re getting poked and prodded with a needle.

Great people and even better tattoos! Very relaxed environment. Already got three tattoos from Andy and he did an amazing job. He has your intentions for your tattoo in mind and adds little details that make you appreciate your piece even more.

Smitty has been tattooing since I was a kid & I'm 54!! I just got a tat from him on Saturday he did a phenomenal job. Very talented artist ,cool & professional guy. I you want a GOOD tattoo he's your man.

I got my first tattoo here today and the experience was AMAZING. Smitty gave me a great price, and did my tattoo himself. Beautiful shop, and the mood was great. I laughed the whole time, and over all had a wonderful time. Will be coming back for sure in the future.

Don't go anywhere else for your tattoo or piercing needs. I had my brow pierced by Keir & I can't even begin to tell you what an amazing experience I had. I knew Smitty's Place Tattoo by reputation but had never had any work done there. Keir did such an amazing job that, LOL, I keep forgetting that my brow was pierced at all. He's very clean & gentle as you would expect. He took his time to get my brow marked & he understands the aesthetics of placement. He marked it perfectly & pierced quickly & smoothly. He's also very, very detailed about after care. I also liked the fact that once done, he didn't rush me out of the chair. Seemed genuinely concerned that I was doing okay & being paid seemed like an after thought to him. He made it all about me. I will be going there again & I have to say, all the staff there today 12/1/2017 were great. Highly recommended parlor.

This place is awesome. I just got my first tattoo done here and i am so happy i chose this shop. Kier did my tattoo and its beautiful. He put a lot of work and detail in to his artwork. The shop was clean and everyone was welcoming, i was pretty nervous but they did a good job of helping me relax and they play great music too. Ill be coming back for more. I love my tattoo!

Love the place, Awesome Tattoo artist. I am only going to Smitty's to get all my tattoos. Very friendly and takes his craft with professionalism.
