I had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. This was my first time getting a big piece and Glen was so accommodating and overall, just a really great guy! You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work and the design he came up with for my tattoo exceeded my expectations. I've gotten so many compliments and people now telling me they're going to Glen next. The shop itself was very clean and welcoming. Everyone at the shop is really cool and makes the entire experience fun. I can't wait to go back to get more work done!

Tl;dr: Complete lack of communication from Glen - the actual worst communication with any tattoo artist I’ve ever had.
I booked and paid for an appointment with Glen Helm last year in March, with an appointment that was supposed to be in November. Obviously the non refundable deposit was taken - it was around $200 dollars. When November came around, two days before the appointment, I emailed Glen and he had not finished the commissioned piece. 24 hours before the appointment, he tells me he’s finished it but doesn’t send me a picture of it, or a description, a time to come in for my appointment or even a location for the appointment.
Glen was previously working at a different tattoo studio. Union was one he opened up just around November, but he didn’t inform me of that or anything else about my appointment. So I asked to cancel because it was 24 hours before my appointment and I had no information - once again, not even a time. I also asked for my deposit back since I didn’t get any of this information. He said no, and told me I could rebook for March this year to not “lose my deposit.” So I asked to do that and the few emails I sent about it were all ignored. I got no responses. I lost my deposit, and got no art - not even a description of what was supposedly “designed for me.”

I’ve had 2 tattoos done now by Glen and will be having a third done later this month and I could not be more stoked. His work is absolutely amazing, his attention to detail is incredible and you can really see the love he puts into his pieces. On top of all that, he is one of the nicest, down to earth people I have had the pleasure of meeting I can’t recommend him enough!
