Very friendly staff, very good artists! I've gone here for two of my tattoos and definitely plan on visiting for some more.

I went into Eclipse Tattoo, Told Devon that I wanted Asian style with a twist, thick lines like Old School Traditional, with Bleeding Eyeball colors of Asian style, could be called Coloring Book Style, He did not bat an eye, He took my suggestions, ideas, pics. I wanted him to try to get ideas from & ran with it, Two & a half years later ( because of the way I heal ) I have a beautiful full sleeve that is two cover-ups, one a tattoo nightmare & the other was a drunk & stupid moment that I tried to keep covered by wearing long sleeve shirts for over 25 years. Am soon going back for another one.

This place was very welcoming, first thing I walk into was the owner with a friendly smile and handshake. I have a consultation coming soon and very much so look forward to getting my tattoo done here.

I’ve been going to Black Tortoise monthly for well over a year now and have had a great experience every time.

The Staff - Genuine and professional. They’re all extremely down to earth and very knowledgeable about their craft.

The Shop - Clean, well-decorated, and most importantly, comfortable. They’ve got TVs in the rooms and allow you to pick a movie and relax while they work (you’ll probably even find yourself having great conversation and forget about the movie).

The Art - Everything done there is original. These artists put a lot of thought into each of their pieces. They perfect each piece and would refuse to do work if it can’t be done properly. This shop is truly about quality.

The Price - I did a ton of shopping around before ending up at BT; we all want to get the most for our money, right? Well, what I’ve found is that the price for work done here falls right in line with most shops in the area. The price is average, but the work is phenomenal. Well worth the money. The price I’ve paid the whole time I’ve gone there is $150hr (but, it doesn’t hurt to call and ask them what their rate is at the time that you’re reading this) .

I believe the saying is “You get what you pay for.” Well, after having an entire sleeve done (beautifully I might add), I can honesty say that I got so much more than I paid for. Not only did I get what I consider to be the best sleeve I’ve ever seen, but I had a great experience while it was being done.

If what I wrote still hasn’t convinced you of how pleased I am with the work done at Black Tortoise, the sheer length of this review should speak for itself.

Mike did a fantastic tattoo. I came into his shop with an idea and he came up with just a phonomal drawing. I am always getting people telling me it's the nicest one they have ever seen.

Amazing, Mike did a phenomenal job. He worked with me on a design that I absolutely love. Definitely will recommend to anyone looking for a great place to get there ink done. Will absolutely be returning for my future tattoo's. Thank you Mike for the time you took with me.

Huge waste of time and clearly aren't open to new clients!
Scheduled a consultation because I liked that they did custom pieces. Talk to the artist, came up with a rough sketch and was told it would take 1-2 months. Which was totally fine by me. I asked if I could put a deposit down and they said that the deposit can be put when we come in to look over the artwork and make final edits. A month goes by and no update. Two months pass by and I decided to call. The artist wasn't there but the person on the phone said they would leave a message. A few weeks go by and I didn't get a call back so I decided to call, apparently she was busy and couldn't come to the phone. The guy on the phone says that it has been busy so call back later.
I'm still trying to be understanding at this point. I give them another week, nothing. I go up there and she is not there but they will check back with her. I go home and call, they tell me she is busy when not even 10min ago they said she was not there. I'm over it at this point, I ask if I could at least see what she has so far. Turns out she has nothing, and at this point it's been 4months. Clearly she and the establishment don't need any new business because I tried putting a deposit at the consultation. They could have just said she is very popular, would you be okay with working with one of our other artists instead of giving me the run around. I don't mind waiting just be upfront, taking my business elsewhere.

Shye did an AMAZING job not only taking the basic design I wanted and making it something truly special but she also did and amazing job doing the tattoo itself!
10/10 will come back.

Austin did my tattoo, and I couldn't be happier! The staff are all nice. Parking is confusing if you don't know, but it's out back behind the shop
