Yesterday I got my first tattoo at this shop. It was without a doubt worth the several months wait to enjoy this level of professionalism. Lovely work, and great people. Comfy, clean shop. I was stunned that it was an essentially painless experience. Top notch gig all the way around, I can highly recommend Joe Clark and On the Level Tattoo. 👍

Looked for years near CDA for a good shop and artist, this is hands down the best one around. Ryan has done my ink and it’s detailed and meticulous and I’ve got many more for him to do. I’ve seen the work of the other artists and can say every one of them does fantastic work.

Her name is not Karen! She is a 17 year old girl who put a deposit down 5 months in advance so she could have her first tattoo, that she has waited years for, on her 18th birthday. She tried to reach out to the artist, Sharla, in November to get the art and ideas started. She was told that Sharla would contact her about a week before her appointment. A little over two weeks before her birthday appointment she got a text at night telling her that the appointment would be cancelled. She was crushed. There was no time to book with another artist, so her choices were to reschedule before her birthday, which would not work legally, or be fit in sometime early February. She requested her deposit back as the whole point of booking out that far was to ensure she could do the birthday tattoo on her birthday. Sharla offered to mail her deposit to her, but she decided to pick it up from the shop. Sharla didn’t have any need at all to slam the paper and pen in front of her to sign for the deposit. That also made to offer to mail the deposit back to her rather suspect. Why would you offer to mail it if you required a signature? She was respectful and no voices were raised whatsoever. But Sharla going out of her way to yell “bye Karen” at a 17 year old on her way out the door was rude and far beyond the level of unprofessionalism that was experienced since she first was asked for a deposit. Bullet dodged. I guess true colors were shown. It’s a shame Sharla felt it was ok to try to intimidate and be very rude to a kid who through no fault of her own had her appointment canceled and just wanted her deposit returned.

Caleb frey did my tattoo/cover up and after 7 years of having a tattoo on my body that I couldn't stand looking at I now love it! Thank you Caleb, and thank you On the level tattoo! What a fun atmosphere to be in. The whole shop is filled with great people, and the work is amazing I wouldn't go anywhere else! 10/10 would recommend!

This shop is great. I go to Caleb Frey here, but I have seen work from some of the other guys. It's all great! The shop is well organized and clean and everything you'd hope for in a positive tattoo experience! They take pride in their work, and you can see it with the level of detail that goes into each tattoo's creation, the setup and cleanup, and how they treat their clients. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great place to go, with amazing guys that will treat you well, and who wants an amazing piece of art completed.

Just got a matching tattoo with my granddaughter. What an honor that was to be able to do that with her. We both are more than pleased with the results. Joe was absolutely fantastic and his work is remarkable. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering getting one. Won't go to any other place but On The Level Tattoo to get inked.

Hands down the best tattoo shop in town, Ryan is a skilled artist with more talent than I could have imagined. Everyone who works there is extremely skilled and talented. Very clean and very sanitary. I would definitely recommend On the Level to anyone who wants a tattoo and a tattoo done right!

There is no competition. The artists working at On the Level are the best in town. They are worth the price, and well worth the wait. I returned recently to finish a sleeve and I couldn't be more impressed. I will update with a photo once the work is done, but anyone reading this should check out their instagram and see what I'm talking about.
