I was impressed with the girl who did the piercing, but unfortunately the girl who did the paperwork was very rude. She ignored me and rolled her eyes when I talked. My God daughter also got a piercing and as soon as we left, she said the same thing about the front desk worker having a really bad attitude with her as well.

I loved Yita so much. She has such a warm, fun, welcoming vibe, super easy to get along with. She was so bubbly and excited to give me exactly the piercing I wanted. We went over placement many times to get it just right. The actual piercing was super quick and easy, and the bar length she picked out has turned out to be just the perfect size to accommodate the mild amount of swelling I've experienced. By far the most fun, enjoyable, and least painful piercing experience I've ever had!!!

Hope this review saves someone the trouble. Myself and 2 others came into this shop back in July to get our daiths pierced and I am pretty certain all 3 of our piercings were done incorrectly. All 3 of us have experienced nothing but problems throughout the last few months and every other piercer we’ve spoken with also agrees they were done incorrectly. Wish we had gone somewhere else that didn’t leave us with disfigured ears. BEWARE.

got a nose piercing here, an hour later blood was randomly POURING and wouldn’t stop. i called and asked for advice and the lady was very rude and just said “i don’t know” and that’s it. now over a year later, it’s red every single day no matter what i do. it was obviously pierced wrong

James is amazing! He did my first tattoo in March so I went back to him for my 2nd as well. I just had my 2nd tattoo done and it looks amazing and I’m in love with it! He’s patient and down to earth and really knows what he’s doing. I’ll be going to him for all future tattoos!

I got a helix piercing here and my sister-in-law got her second lobes done. Yita was efficient and good at her job. I told her that I tend to get light-headed and she ended up getting me an apple juice and a lollipop. So sweet! I normally only go to APP certified piercers, but they had good reviews and I know enough that I could call it off if there were red flags.

I do wish that their selection of piercing jewelry had more threadless or internally threaded options. I think they had them available, but they weren't using them for piercing. They did have some titanium jewelry, but nothing in a plain silver color that I could see. Otherwise, the selection was great if you're looking for jewelry for an existing piercing.

I did something very spontaneous that I’ve always wanted to do and that was start with a nose stud. My friend and I both went and she’s been there and the people where so sweet. They noticed I was Diabetic and got me a juice just in case I needed the sugar. Yita was so helpful and so sweet on me. She was very proud of me and the two employees there were so kind. The piercing was perfect and I was so happy with the results. I would so give more stars to them. Thank you so much for the good service and making me feel safe. 💙💙

James was my artist and he was wonderful. Funny knowledgeable patient. He was fantastic.
He drew up a nice tattoo for me and can't wait for my next tattoo. He will for sure be my artist.

When I walked in the girl at the front desk had to call the piercers name several times to get her attention as she was completely distracted on her cellphone. I decided to get two piercings done, the whole time the piercer was very short and sarcastic with me. She never told me the size of any of my jewelry and gave me a little sheet with aftercare instructions and sent me on my way. Luckily I have other piercings so I know what to expect and how to take care of them, but if you require any sort of support/guidance do not go here. All they care about is piercing you and sending you on your way.

Don't let the bad reviews dissuade you. Brie and Gita from Self Expressions were 10/10. Got 3 piercings in one sitting; Double Nostril and Septum. I went in to ask some questions and Gita at the counter answered everything I needed to know and even showed me the jewelry options. I called another day to ask more questions and she came through again with excellent customer service. Finally, I popped in to get my piercings, met Brie and was so happy I chose to get my piercings here. The girls made everything smooth and relaxed. I've had several piercings done at piercing shops and tattoo shops alike, but this was the best piercing experience I ever had. It was professional, comfortable and all around a phenomenal experience.

I see that there are equally bad and good reviews for this place, but as far as piercings go, this place was great for me. I will continue to return for more piercings as long as Brie and Gita work here.

These guys are pretty kid friendly. Some of us are parents and it was nice that they had a sitting area and give lollipops to little ones.
