Greg from Black Gold studios is not only an amazing free hand custom tattoo artist but he's a true gentleman and will treat you just like friend and family. I came in as a stranger and left feeling like a brother. And his tattoo work is one of a kind :-) Everything is clean, sterile, professional and you even get to watch TV and pick awesome music Have a great conversation with him. His tools supplies and equipment or some of the best ever.... Make sure you follow their Instagram page to keep up to date and be patient when booking an appointment because they're very busy.

I went in on a Sunday (to my surprise they were open unlike any other tattoo/piercing shop) and I was greeted by staff. I asked if they had time for a walk-in and without hesitation I was brought to a chair. Sol was my artist. He was very professional and took his time making sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted and where I wanted it. He even suggested a finishing touch that made my tattoo POP and look even better than I planned. He played good music, had good conversation, and made me feel very comfortable being there. It’s so hard to find tattoo artists that actually care about what you want and not change it into their own idea. He knew the significance of my tattoo and how much it meant to me and I couldn’t be more thankful for that!!!! He also informed me about tattoo removal for a tattoo that I want gone, so I will be going back in the near future to do that. I’m also booking a chest piece with him. I would refer anyone and everyone to this shop!!!! Thank you sol, for giving me a tattoo that I love!!!!!!!!
Also, I forgot to mention that I had called earlier in the day to make sure they were in shop, and Greg answered. He wasn’t there but was willing to stop what he was doing to meet me there. You don’t find service like that anywhere!!!!

I had an appointment for 2 weeks to get tattoo removal done. I paid a $100 deposit the day I booked. At the time of booking he Stated he owned the rights to this removal technique on the whole western united states. After calling the CEO of that company, that is not true. After traveling An hour and a half, I showed up for my appointment and he was super rude, said he was “running late” and to call later that day. He had just started a portrait tattoo. I stated I couldn’t come back later. I called to request my deposit back and he stated to me he wasn’t a “vending machine”. the place was so cluttered, you could hardly walk in the small walk areas, and had an odor. Even if he was not rude and unprofessional, I would have been very hesitant to allow him to work on my body. In a small town like this, word of mouth and courtesy goes a long way. I can not stress enough how uneasy this whole thing made me feel. And now I will probably never get my money back. I would not recommend going or giving a deposit to this shop at all. If I get the refund I will update this review.

I love this place ! The owner and his wife are truly too kind , my ride flaked on me and they came to pick me up for my piercing and after drop me back off. I got my navel done and I swear I have never had such a gentle piercing and it was done fast. I would highly recommend this shop . This is somebody that knows what they are doing piercing people and it being done correctly .

Greg never disappoints me! Both times I've went to him with something he's never done before and he went above and beyond to make it happen and make sure I loved it. I'm so thankful to have him doing my memorial sleeve!! There is also Shawn and dirk who work at the shop who also do great work. All 3 artists had clients lined up waiting. The shop is very clean and looks amazing. They also sell clothing, swim suits, stickers, and lanyards. Along with different piercing stuff!! I love black gold!!!

Definitely happy with Greg and his work. He did an amazing cover up for me. He free handed it to make sure to get it covered. So happy to be able to see a beautiful art work instead of my old tattoo. He was light handed so made sitting through it a breeze. His shop was clean and everyone made you feel welcome and at home.

I have gotten multiple tattoos from Greg and love them all. I share my vision and he brings it to life with his amazing artistic ability. His shop is clean and and he is very professional always making his clients visions come to life on skin!

Greg is such an amazing artist I love his work. Best experience of had out of all places I've been to. Shawn Howell has such great line work and great patience. And last but not least Dirk mang has wonderful work with the portraits and making you feel at home. These guys surely know how take care of you.

Called before walking in. Let them know I would be there in about 30min. Called when I got there and waiting 25min with nothing the guy in the back Sol said to just wait up front. Left with out a tattoo as I couldn't even speak to an artist. Won't be going back.

I was very impressed with how professional and clean this shop was! I went in with an idea and Greg brought it to life! His freehand was amazing! I absolutely couldn't be happier with my new tatt!!!! I would definitely recommend this shop!
