I reached out to Genesis for an anime tattoo with an idea I had been sitting on for awhile. They created exactly what I wanted and they were so welcoming at the studio. They made my experience so comfortable! I was able to watch The Office while getting tattooed ;) The studio was very clean and the layout was set up for social distancing. I do recommend coming to Genesis or anyone at this shop, depending on what type of work you’re looking for! I can’t wait to return to get another piece :)

Genesis is crazy talented. They have done two tatts for me (so far!) and both were executed flawlessly with beautiful dot work detail. Beyond being an awesome artist, Genesis is a kind and welcoming person, making your time in their chair a pleasure. If you’re looking for an amazing black work tattoo, I can’t recommend them enough. In addition, 27 Tattoo Studio has a cool, artistic vibe and is filled with creatives. I’d be thrilled to be tatted by any of their artists (though my heart belongs to Genesis’ dot work)!

I had the pleasure of being tattooed by genesis baca and it was the best experience!! they were so friendly and had a peaceful aura that totally calmed my nerves. they also tolerated my nervous chatter like a pro lol and we had great conversation. not only am i 1000% in LOVE with the art they made for me to wear forever, but i will also always have a great memory of getting the tattoo. thank you so much genesis!!

I had been following Anthony on Instagram for a few years, so you could imagine how excited I was when I saw that his books had opened. I emailed him a vague idea for a tattoo since I was wasn’t completely sure what I wanted, and he responded quickly and professionally. He also made sure to work with my schedule when booking a consultation, which made everything easier.

I was really nervous going into the consultation, but Anthony was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. I ended up wanting the tattoo to be a bit bigger, so Anthony enlarged it about 20%. I always worry that I’m inconveniencing tattoo artists with questions or changes, but his demeanor was really kind and made me feel at ease. I loved my tattoo as well, I now have gorgeous blackberries forever on my arm ❤️

The tattoo studio was also really clean and cool looking; there were previously tattooed designs all over the walls. They have good music taste too, so if you forget your ear buds you’ll be okay!

I have been tattooed at 27 Tattoo Studio in 3 separate occasions and referred 2 other people to their shop. Recently, I had a tattoo touched up by an artist at the studio I didn't know, and wasn't thrilled with how it turned out, but Apryl was so great and got me in quickly so she could personally fix it. Now I love my tattoo, along with the first one I had done there about 3 years ago. Very cool environment and such talented artists, I couldn't be happier with my experience.

By far the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. Apryl has been/is my tattoo consultant and I absolutely adore her and her work. I have recommended many people to this tattoo shop and feel confident with recommending friends/family to any of the tattoo artists here. If you are in the market for a custom tattoo, you need to get an appointment set up with one of the artists here. If the $$$ bothers you, I wouldn't recommend you wasting their time. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! I’m super happy I came across this tattoo shop when I did. The shop is completely astonishing, the way they have everything set up and how clean it is. Especially now during covid they have precautions you have to follow as soon as you step into the shop, which is a major plus to. I just recently got my shin done by Genesis, and Omgawd I’m in lovvvveeeee!!! They did such an amazing job! Like super amazing job. All the line work etc... also I can be such an introvert sometimes but as soon as I meet them I didn’t feel nervous or get a minor anxiety attack, hahah, they actually listened to what I wanted and made me feel comfortable. Genesis made my tattoo come to life. Super excited to get my next one done on the 30th of January!!

So Kevin Lewis is the stuff. He went above and beyond with my lantern tattoo. Whatever you're thinking of, this guy makes it happen. I completely underestimated his ability with color and I'm blown away. Thank you dude! See you soon.

The shop is beautiful and clean. They have some amazing other artists there. Cannot say enough good stuff about 27.

I reccomend 27 Tattoo Studio to everyone I talk to about tattoos. The shop is very clean and the artists are always super nice. I've gotten tattooed by Anthony a couple times and both times I have had no complaints. Friendly, clean, and awesome atmosphere. Best shop in Phoenix.

I don’t leave reviews ever but Genisis did my super simple tattoo today & they were such a lovely person with a very welcoming presence. my friend was tattooed by kevin & he also was such a kind person. could not recommend the shop enough !! i’ll be traveling back to phoenix just to return for more tattoos. thank you for a wonderful experience
