Always a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure of working with Paula and it was such a zen experiences -- which one would normally not expect when getting a tattoo! She took her time, did not rush the process and took great care and precision with the needle. On top of it all, the space is clean, bright and full of plants. A total vibe!
Paula is such a talented artist and it comes out in her line work. RicRoks is certainly a Highland Park gem and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to get inked in a low-key setting!

It was my first tattoo. I was nervous, AND I just knew Rick was the guy. My intuition was right. His vibe is zen meets charming. My tattoo meant so much to me, and he got it. He knew this was a symbolic moment for me and that, as an artist, this was important to him. I can’t recommend this place enough! Visited from out of town and did a walk-in tattoo with Ric. He helped me create exactly what I wanted and added his own style to it which I loved. He consistently checked to make sure the size and look was what I wanted and worked very efficiently. Friendly, clean, cute shop!

Really happy with my experience at RicRoks! This was my first tattoo so I stopped by the shop to check it out one day and showed Ric my design in person. I made an appointment using their easy online form and came back for my tattoo. Ric was really warm and friendly and the studio felt comfortable and clean. Ric copied my design onto the stencil and the tattoo came out exactly as I hoped. I'm 1 week in and the healing process is going great so far. Highly recommend Ric and his shop!
