The Studio Custom Tattoos

Kirstie has been doing my tattoos for a little over 2 years now and she is so wonderful every time! Not only is her work incredible, but the entire experience she provides is great! She is considerate and extremely welcoming. I am ALWAYS extremely pleased with her work, and will continue to have her tattoo me!

I called this morning, having decided late that I wanted a tattoo, luckily for me they had an opening. I spoke with Emerson and she was an amazing artist. She is quick and professional, and she gives her honest opinion about how things should look and the reasons behind her statements. This was super helpful because as I said before I had decided this morning on getting one and kept changing my mind. She tattoos very well, and she has neat and tidy lines. With the design I gave her was a lot of straight lines and each one is perfection. I really appreciate everything she was able to do for me. 10/10 would go to her again.

I cannot speak highly enough about Emerson. They took my kind of random idea and ran with it. This was not my first tattoo, but was by far the best one. Emerson was light handed enough that I wasn't worried, but thorough enough that I am not concerned about longevity. I will go back, and will refer everyone I know, to Emerson.

Where do I begin?? Marcos was....INCREDIBLE! Honestly, I can't rave about him enough! He did an AMAZING job. He saw the image that I wanted & did on a wonderful piece on my arm. He was gentle (like no pain or discomfort) & did this all in one sitting & completed it fairly quickly! Super friendly & thorough. I can't wait to go back to him for my other pieces!

My wife and I were very lucky and fortunate to find tattoo artist Shaina Hernandez, at the Studio Custom Tattoo shop, on Riverside in Roseville.

We found Shaina through my wife's efforts, while researching artists.

Shaina has done absolutely wonderful, first class work on both my wife, and I. Not on just one occasion, but many different works of art, at different times.

We highly recommend that if you, or other family or friends, want remarkable and beautiful work done, make an appointment for a consult at the Studio, with Shaina. You will not regret it.

Loved my experience. Went in and scheduled an appointment, Marcos was happy to accomodate, and I walked out 4 days later with my tattoo. Marcos was calm and informational, gave me all the tips I needed to take care of my tattoo, and I loved the amount of time spent sanitizing and prepping. Very safe, very talented, very beautiful

The studio itself is very clean and has a really cool aesthetic. The staff were nice and personable but also professional. Blu did my leg today, she was absolutely great. Talkative and responsive, but also knew when I wanted to stop talking towards the end. Im already planning my next piece with her and I'm getting my wife to go in as well.

I love the studio. It has such a chill and eclectic vibe along with a clean and professional environment. The artists are all so different and talented. Jacob is my artist and his attention to detail and creative skill is everything you could want in a tattoo artist. So happy I did my research and came here.

I received a tattoo from Shaina today. I don't envy tattoo artists because they have to turn the customer's vision into a permanent piece of art in one take. I asked her to design something one-off with a bit of input and a description of the "feeling" I was going for and she absolutely nailed it. The tattoo turned out even better than I imagined. Where do I start. If you’re going to get a tattoo do not go to Jacob/Jake. He is very unprofessional. In the beginning he made it seem so easy as if I was in good hands. I booked my appointment a month out and he told me he would be sending me a sketch of my tattoo a week prior and if I don’t hear from him to reach out to him even if it means blowing him up. I reached out and he did not respond until two days later and told me he would need another day or so to send it. Understandable because I know tattoo artists could be busy so I patiently waited.

Four days gone by and still no sketch. My tattoo day approached, so I decided to reach out the night before to see how the sketch was going. Of course, no response.. at this point I have lost my patience.

A few hours before my tattoo appointment on the day of, I get a text from Jake informing me that he has to cancel due to one of his co workers having covid symptoms. I couldn’t be mad at that because he’s taking safety precautions, however it’s very unprofessional of him to not even have sent me my sketch as he said he was going to do. I had to reach out to him a few times just to get a sketch. As a tattoo artist you would think to provide amazing customer service because you’re working for the customer and doing what it takes to create that masterpiece and build that trust.

At this point, I said you know what let me go ahead and just reschedule for the week after. I got my sketch the next day at night time which believe it or not I was just in shock. I was in shock because he took so long to respond back and send me a sketch when the pictures I sent him of what I wanted, all he did was crop it out and paste it onto my forearm (a picture he took on day of consultation) I told him I wanted him to fix my lion and he said he will fix it and send over the finished sketch.

Five days gone by and still no finished sketch and my appointment was the next day. I get a text that says his co worker has covid and he has to reschedule again. I am done at this point because not only is Jake unresponsive but not great at keeping his word. Very unprofessional and such a negative experience. I wouldn’t want anyone else to have gone through what I went through. I should’ve just cancelled with him the moment he cancelled with me on the day of my tattoo appointment but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and of course he steered me wrong.

I’m not saying don’t come to this tattoo shop at all and I’m also not saying I don’t care for the person who tested positive. Not at all and no disrespect to them. I understand it’s inevitable to catch the virus. I’m just saying the individual Jake, should’ve done his job properly and not provided a poor experience. I also had recommended him to a friend during the time of my consultation as well and thankfully he treated her much more professionally. Again, I’m not speaking about this shop overall is unprofessional I’m only referring to my experience with Jake. I can’t speak for the others there at the shop.
