New Generation Tattoo

I got a some work finished here by Jason! I had a tattoo I wasn’t feeling great about, and I wasn’t sure how to improve.

Jason took the time to figure out what I wanted, and he turned my tattoo into something I now love to show off.

I highly recommend going to this shop. They are extremely professional and treat their customers great. I already can’t wait to go back for my next piece.

If you are thinking about getting a tattoo, especially an Asian, you have to come here. They are a great bunch of guys and Thien is my new best friend and set Tat Artist. He helped me finish my laughing Buddha and he's getting me ready for my next ones. It's in the works, so not going to boast until I have them.

Pros: Free parking; friendly shop and guys; very honest and helpful; decent prices and Thien even stayed late on Halloween night to help me - dedicated to the customer; some tats do not need you to come back, and they will give you a consultation before and after if it is your first time.

Cons: a bit hard to find at first, even with Google Maps; San Jose traffic is a nightmare, so leave early to get here if you are coming past 10 miles away; shop could use a little organization; front door has so much stuff, you can't really sit or stand anywhere.
Shop feels a bit cramped, and messy.

Definitely going back for more.

I got my tattoos done @ New Generation. Lam was very matriculate on his works. His detail works were thumbs up on all my three visits. He pays attention to every tiny detail. The staffs here are all cool. There seems to have the togetherness which other places badly lack of. This place is definitely deserved a 5 stars in my book. Way better than other overated places in SJ. I hope they maintain this business for many years to come.

This place is awesome, they treat you like family. Also broke bread with their clients and fed us dinner during our session. Great service. I would recommend to friends and family.

This is my third tattoo I got done, and my first with New Generation. I called New Generation to see if I could come in and talk to an artist about the tattoo that I wanted to get done. They were super friendly on the phone, and even more friendly in person. I showed Shaolinh a picture of a memorial tattoo that I had found online that I liked and told him I wanted something similar. He was able to take a picture of my arm/shoulder and overlay the image to show what it would look like. We discussed how long the tattoo would take, pricing, and I gave them a deposit and set the appointment. When I showed my husband the picture with the original design, he hated it (but he hates tattoos, so no big surprise). Since this was a memorial tattoo for the son we lost during the pregnancy, he had to like too. I messaged Shaolinh with mine and husbands concerns. He was very understanding and started to work on some similar yet different designs. A day before my appointment, there was a change in plans for the next day and I contacted Shaolinh to see if I could reschedule my appointment to an earlier time, and he said that he could. The day of the tattoo I put on the numbing cream he had given per his instructions, and went in. We went over the design he had created, made a few last minute changes, and got the OK from hubby. The work he did was beautiful!!! The feather he designed was gorgeous, and I really love how the first bird coming out of it looks like it was broken off of the feather. While getting the ink done a cried off and on since I was supposed to be giving birth to my son that day. Shaolinh was very kind, patient, and understanding during the whole process. My husband LOVES this tattoo! If you want to get a tattoo at a shop that is clean, professional, and friendly, this is the place to go.

I had waited over a month for a response on a tattoo idea they were drawing out with no updates in between. When i checked up to see how the progress was going after a month, they were rude so i went else where.

Shop is very clean. The process was very quick and simple. Great experience
