As someone who just got their first ever tattoo on a moments notice, I appreciate the positivity of the tattoo shop, I was questions about the word (it was a negative word) but I cleared up the reasoning for getting it is not self hate, after which the guy cleaned everything up, payed down a clean cloth, didn’t let me move my arm away from the clean cloth and broke out a new blade, as someone with no knowledge of tattoos or tattoo shops my first and biggest fear is not if I’ll like the tattoo in 20 years, it’s if I’ll have a disease that’ll end it in 5, and honestly? Seeing that level of cleanliness is what makes me most comfortable, very sweet and homey environments with lots of “bro” being thrown around, which in all honesty is the kind of place where I feel like everyone is down to earth, well worth the 80 I was charged for the word, nice and clean and next day it’s looking great so far.

I grew up in Arvada and have been tattooed in a handfull of shops around Denver for the past 15 yrs. There are a lot of great artists and fewer shops in our state, but Mad Alchemist is THE best tattoo shop I've ever been to. The first thing I noticed upon walking in was the upbeat environment, the good vibes were abundant upinear. I was quickly greeted and began to look around. The second thing I noticed was the prestine quality of work. I was referred to this shop by word of mouth and was told to ask for Aaron. He is a very talented artist who is extremely detail oriented. I was genuinly impressed with him and his art. I'll absolutely be coming back for future work.

I had an appointment that was rescheduled then the canceled by Loryn. I was notified each time when I text to confirm my appointment. The experience was a bit frustrating but wouldn't have been if she contacted me first to let me know. Then again, it was better than walking into the shop and being told about the changes.
