I reached out and made an appointment with fair winds tattoo for my elopement day. We are not from the area and live in another state. During my inquiry with Justin we agreed in 7pm set for a Saturday. Fast forward to my wedding day and I sent him an email stating the timeline was running a little behind schedule, as all weddings normally do, knowing we could still probably make it within the hour or 30 minutes time. So I kept in communication and gave him a heads up which his response to me was that he would no longer be able to do our wedding day tattoos that he was going to stay past 7pm, but he has a family to get to. Now mind you our tattoos together would’ve taken less than 30 minutes. Why he failed to mention that 7pm was the time the shop closed on a Saturday during our initial conversation and he’d be having to stay just for us is beyond me, but definitely could’ve communicated better and not put a damper on someone’s special day.

The staff is always professional and friendly. I have worked with Justin for 3 sessions (around 11 hours total) and his line work and attention to detail is unmatched! He really works with you to make sure you get the best possible tattoo, making sure to hear your concepts and also add his professional opinion to make sure the final product is something you're ready to show off for years to come.

Such a great place to get a tattoo! This was my first big tattoo and I was nervous but Garrett was great at reassurance and bedside manner. The attention to detail is amazing. Garrett was very efficient and made sure I was as comfortable as one could be while getting tattooed.

Got my tattoo done with Justin, and it was a photo copy of what I wanted, with a few suggested tweaks by him. I love how it came out, would definitely recommend checking them out!

I knew right away seeing Justin on instagram that I wanted him to work on my sleeve and he did NOT disappoint. He’s so incredibly talented and he’s been my go to for about a year and a half now. He opened up Fair Winds while I was between pieces and I was so amazed at going to the shop for my most recent session. It’s so clean and new and absolutely adorable, I know that the people he runs the shop with care about their clients and making them feel comfortable and they all put so much artistic integrity into their work. They also aren’t stuck up like a lot of artists seem to be now a days, they’re honest and hard working and dedicated to the art and their clients. I will never go anywhere else, I trust Justin to get me exactly what I want and make sure it’s done well with even the simplest ideas. I will always point anyone looking for an artist to this shop.

My first tattoo with Justin was amazing he did a great job, so I set up a second one with him and a week before I was to be there I emailed him about changing my time because of work related issues. He ghosted me completely. I never heard from him to this day and it's been almost a week since I was going to get my tattoo done. His customer service is not good. I will not be coming back.
