I love this tattoo parlour. Although all the artists are incredibly talented, I use Joe Swider. He's been amazing at the cover up he's been working on on me. It's my underbust, and although it hurts as ribs will, Joe is doing an amazing job making the process as painless as possible. He personally has his station set up away from the other artists, but happily put on a show for both of us while he worked. Not to mention, due to the size of what will be needed for the cover up, I gave Joe a lot of artistic freedom. Unlike many, he handled my loose direction superbly, yet is managing to create a piece that is amazing and fits me. Plus!! The care taken to center this piece was amazing!! I've never had an artist so diligently space and measure in order to get their art perfect. On top of that, these people are very honest. I not only trust Joe to permanently ink my skin, but I'm also confident I could ask him for artist suggestions and he'd answer me with the artist who stylistically/design wise would be passionate about the piece I'm describing. Though for now I'll likely stick with Joe for most of my work as his style is perfect for me

Great place to go to! Especially for people with anxiety disorders! Everyone there is really kind and you feel at home within a hour. Usually I'm afraid to go into places by myself, but this experience was great! Mark is amazing, especially when it comes to detail. He did a praying mantis for me and right away everyone can guess what species it is. I'm so amazed at the colors and detail it looks real! The place is really clean and comfy. Very professional. Very likely to go back a few more times lmao

Skin Deep has some of the most talented artists. The environment is comfortable, clean and easygoing. Anyone looking for an exceptional tattoo should not hesitate to go to the best shop in CT.

Great shop! When I moved to CT from NYC I had a hard time finding a good shop with talented artists, there are a lot of tattooers in the area but Skin Deep has some serious artists that do amazing work.

We had a great experience getting my 11 yo daughter's ears pierced. They were sensitive and kind and did a wonderful job! Very clean spa-like environment in my opinion, too!

Both Mark and Tom were fantastic in helping me develop my idea. I already knew what I wanted, but in terms of the correct placement of it and what would look good and what would not, they both gave me their opinions. Tom worked on my tattoo. He was very focused and patient. I love the outcome. Thank you. I'll be back again.

Just got my first tattoo and am very satisfied. The shop was immaculate and the staff were laid back, friendly, professional, and above all, talented. The whole atmosphere really set my mind at ease.

I've had tattoos done all over the country and a couple in Germany as well, but Joe did my favorite piece last year. He spent lots of time on the intricate details I needed and since then I've had a ton of compliments. Plus the fish in the lobby are badass
