I’ve been tattooed by Quinn at Ocho Placas twice so far and I cannot say enough about his professionalism and attention to detail. I was treated with nothing but respect (not always the case with tattoo artists) and left the shop with two of my favorite pieces.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH POOKA WHEN HER BOOKS OPEN. It's totally worth the wait. Trust me. This was the best experience at a tattoo shop I've ever had. I was lucky enough to get a piece done by Pooka and I couldn't be happier. Prior to my appointment I sent her photos that I took during vacations and she created a BEAUTIFUL tattoo for me using the same flowers in my photos. How awesome is that??? My whole family uses Pooka for our tattoos and you should too. If you do get the chance to get a piece done by her you will be entertained and super comfortable the entire time. I felt like I was chatting with a friend while listening to music. The other artists who were there were also very engaging and friendly. This is not your typical tattoo shop. Don't think twice. Just go here.

An amazing place to get my first tattoo! I was lucky enough to work with Sam Mancino, who did my first tattoo-- 2 back to back sessions on my arm totaling 8 hours. I planned the tattoo with her remotely from Gainesville through email and she was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the process. Her work... is truly amazing. I have a piece of art on me I will cherish for the rest of my life.
It made my family members who are anti tattoo consider getting one themselves! Sam is very kind, considerate, professional, and a true artist and joy to work with. The rates were very reasonable and the rest of the staff treated me great as well and made me feel welcome.

Such a great vibe in a tattoo shop. Everyone in the shop was extremely friendly and accommodating, but lets get down to the most important part, the tattoo. My artist was Daniel T-pot Ortega, and he is the Michelangelo of traditional tattoos. He put forth maximum effort to ensure my tattoo was perfect; every minor detail he suggested and eventually added really completed it. Danny has done all of my tattoos and I recommend him to everyone and anyone who is interested in getting one.
