Custom Concepts Tattoos and Designs

After living in the area for about a year, I was still trying to find a tattoo shop that I thought I could trust. Recommended by a co-worker, I initially met with Terry to get a cover up of an old tattoo. His artistic ideas snowballed until I decided to get a half sleeve instead. For large pieces, I think it's important to be comfortable with and have a good working relationship with the artist and Terry and Custom Concepts exceeded every expectation.

The shop is spotless and very strict about following proper procedure. The best part for me was the creativity Terry brought to the table. His paintings hang in the shop and range from landscape to contemporary. I think he's a fantastic artist who also happens to be damn good at tattooing.

I've already got plans to go back for another piece and I would recommend Custom Concepts to anyone who wants a showpiece tattoo. With a tattoo parlor in every strip mall, finding the one that is right for you can be exhausting. So, save yourself the trouble and just go to Custom Concepts. Problem solved.

After extensive research, I decided I wanted a dermal neck and nipple piercings, and all directions led to Darby.

I had read that she's the best, so if I was going to do it, it was going to be by her. She pierced me when I went to Destin for vacation and I can say nothing but good things about her. The communication is great all throughout the process from consultation to answering any questions I had.

The actual piercings went by very quickly and didn't hurt. I think the whole process took about 30 minutes tops -including prep, piercing and aftercare instructions. She is very sweet and talks to you the whole time and let's you know what she's doing as she works. She's so good that she had done the piercing and I was still waiting, bracing myself for her to do it. I won't say it's completely painless, but it hurts even less knowing there is someone as professional as her working on you. Immediately afterward, I just felt normal as if nothing was there, and was easily able to go on with my day.

I'd have to agree with everyone and say she is indeed the best - very professional and it's clear that she's experienced and dedicated to quality. If you're thinking about getting this piercing, I highly recommend her, I wouldn't trust anyone else. In fact, I trusted her so much that I chose her to pierce my teenage daughter's navel-- and my daughter couldn't be more thrilled.

I have known Terry for a long time now. He did a piece for me down my leg and on to the top of my foot about five yrs ago, the piece still looks great and I always get compliments on it. When I decided I was ready to get a back piece done I knew just where to go! The shop is always very clean and sterile, and all of the staff is very professional and knowledgeable. We are almost done with my piece and Im very excited it looks amazing and I am very proud to show it off and to speak highly of an excellent artist such as Terry.

While vacationing in Destin I wanted to get my first tattoo. Me and my boyfriend read reviews and chose Custom Concepts. Mack, lady at the front desk, was SO friendly and helpful! She set up my appointment with Chris and made me feel very comfortable about getting my first tattoo. The next day I came in and Chris did my tattoo perfectly in good time and for a great price. Very patient staff! It was over all a great first tattoo experience. I plan to make the 5 hour drive just to come back!

Great tattoo shop and artists!! Highly knowledgeable and professional! I would recommend If you're looking for you're first tattoo or your 10th they'll be able to help draw it up and give you the best options without any bs. I personally worked with Terry who always goes out of his way to make time for me since I live out of state and I have no problem flying back to Florida just to come back for Terry that's how good he is. He actually drove over to New Mexico and tried to meet up with me where I'm from which was exceptional since my bio mechanical piece takes multiple sessions. No other artist I've ever meet cares about his people more than Terry. I love my piece of work and I get complimented daily on it. I will be coming back for years to come!!

Custom Concepts is a truly professional shop. The shop atmosphere is enjoyable and the staff are professional. You truly get what you pay for, a tattoo that you will be proud to show off. I have been tattooed all over the world and this shop is the best I have been to. I am working with Terry to create a sleeve tattoo that is very complex. He makes the process enjoyable and has left me with the utmost confidence in his artistic and tattooing abilities, which is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I started the sleeve with another tattoo shop and got a result that left me with stress and anger. I regret not going to Custom Concepts in the first place. I got a tattoo here last year from Terry. He did an excellent job and was super friendly and professional. The shop is clean and comfortable. The artists were dilligent and personable. I get compliments on the cleanliness within the detailed linework of my piece often and it healed up nice and quick after following their aftercare regimen and using their personal ointment that they provided. I definitely recommend this shop!

Loved this tattoo shop. On vacation in Destin, Florida with husband and kids. My husband and I wanted to get something done together. We ended up at the end of the 1 Harbor Blvd. The outside of the shop has us wondering at first but the Staff was great and friendly. They squeezed us in and made it happen. Ricky did our tattoos and they turned out great! My daughters sat and videotaped both of our tattoos getting done. When my oldest daughter is ready we will be back. She wants one when she turns 18. I have been going to Custom Concepts for the past year and a half now and will continue to go until I decide to stop getting inked....which isn't any time soon. Terry Dutra (owner) is working on a piece on my upper back and he has an "open canvas" to work with. I've given him free range. I've always wanted an artist that I can go to with an idea and it can be drawn out perfectly and I finally found that at this shop. I am getting near final sessions of my back piece and I'm already thinking of my next tattoo. If you want good, quality, top of the line tattoos, go to Custom Concepts. Me and my husband both get all our ink done there. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I highly recommend Custom Concepts. The staff is awesome and the artists are highly trained and very professional. I got my first tattoo at Custom Concept Tattoo in Destin in February-March of 2015 and I was very impressed with the attention to detail by Terry (the owner) and the staff. Terry is an artist that takes pride in his work. He wasn't trying to rush and get his money; instead he took extra care in making sure the artwork would be something that he himself would like. The tattoo looks great! All the instructions they gave me for the aftercare worked just fine. I highly recommend this place for anyone in the Emerald Coast looking to get some artwork done.
