Got tattooed by Ambo, and he did a great job! His studio is a super cool space, very clean and calming. He was very helpful with size / placement and it was a great tattoo experience. Whitney, who helped schedule me and followed up on aftercare / healing was very nice and communicative! Overall a great place to get a tattoo by some talented artists.

Matt Norris did my tattoo (second tattoo, first that was a decent size) and did a wonderful job. He was able to give me exactly what I wanted and itβs healed beautifully. The shop was clean and the staff were all friendly. It was a great experience and I would come back again and recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

If you are looking for an amazing artist look no further than Alex. Brought him some super old pics to recreate a tattoo as a memorial peice. He created a masterpiece for me! Shop was super chill, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

My sister and I planned to get memorial tattoos for our mom while in Sarasota. About 3 weeks prior, we had reached out to the shop with ideas, including a PDF of examples. We requested Monti b/c we liked his work; he agreed to come in on his day off to do our tattoos. We offered to choose another artist that was available on Tues so we wouldn't be an inconvenience. When he agreed, we were super appreciative and asked Whitney what we could bring to show our thanks (in addition to a tip). We were very excited to see what he came up with; it was supposed to be one of the highlights of an otherwise depressing trip. We got to the "consultation" and he had nothing to show us, which I can understand. However, I can't understand why no one bothered to contact us to let us know our tattoos were not doable. He literally waited to tell us that what we were asking for was too much for one session, which I honestly don't agree with but I'm not a professional. He wouldn't do lettering, including numbers (which was a huge factor considering we want the coordinates of mom's reef as part of the tattoo), carnations, stippling; the laundry list goes on. He rebutted every idea on the notion that with age, the things we asked for would no longer be recognizable. After he finished debating what he wouldn't do, I asked him for his suggestions. He offered small matching tattoos and it was a clear disappointment when we didn't agree, and other ideas we had continued to be debated. He literally argued with my sister about the turtle she wanted tattooed on HER body (specifically not a "crusty looking" turtle but in his opinion, all turtles are crusty unless we "want a kid's coloring book turtle"). Overall we're beyond disappointed with this experience. There were many opportunities to communicate with us prior to our arrival so plans could be adjusted. I question if Monti ever actually looked at our email before accepting. The only reason I gave them one star is b/c the receptionist was kind and responsive, and we were refunded our deposit when technically we shouldn't have been. If you're from out of town and want something more than a small spur of the moment tattoo, look elsewhere.

I am not artistic, had a concept of creating a sleeve reflecting my travel bucket list. Went to Main Street location and worked with Matt on my concept for my sleeve. Doing it in pieces. The first piece was well done and I was happy with it. Made an appointment for the next installment, and sent pictures to the shop. Matt tied in the 2 additional ideas I had that made the original piece just pop! Iβll be back in another month. Thanks Matt and Oddity!

My uncle is a tattoo artist so I know the game, they always overcharge no matter what. Any tattoo place not just this one. But they were trying to charge me over $600 for 4 very very small tattoos?! Like youβve got to be joking? Thereβs no way. Like I said my uncle is a tattoo artist so I know for a fact that I shouldβve gotten a price range from $400-$500 like cmon guys. No wonder business is slow yβall really think you can overcharge and people wonβt notice? Iβd rather get a tattoo kit and just tattoo myself. Way cheaper. I donβt know why most tattoo places do that, I donβt understand why. Thereβs no reason for it, over pricing. None at all.

Just got two tattoos done with Jesse; great experience for two people who were getting their first professional tattoos. He explained everything to us, the shop was clean, and the final result is amazing! Definitely recommend Jesse, his detail work is wonderful and he's very chill to talk to.

With so many tattoo shops in Sarasota to choose from, oddity always remains the best as they have consistent proffesionism within the shop along with some of the best artists in the area. I have about 70 hours of tattooing at oddity with most of which with Nate.
Thanks oddity tattoo.

I have worked with Jesse for two different sessions now and honestly, I am so thankful I have gone to him. He creates exactly what I have envisioned, and it always turns out better than I could ever expect. I will continue coming back for each tattoo I have!
