Mine Shaft Tattoo and Piercing is the best shop you’re going to find in Helen, if not one of the best in Georgia. Jesse is an incredible artist and will transform the most simple designs into the most beautiful and complex tattoos. He has done almost all of my sleeve (including fillers) and has done all of my partners tattoos. He is very cool. Cody is also a GREAT artist, and continues to put out the coolest tats!!!! Gina is an absolute gem. She has a beautiful selection of jewelry and is a great piercer! She makes you feel like you’ve know her your whole life. Overall this is a great shop, it’s clean and it always smells great in there!!!!

My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary in Helen, where we went on our honeymoon. We got matching autism puzzle pieces done by Cody. They are beautiful and we got them to honor our amazing son who has autism. Wonderful art and a wonderful experience.

Disclaimer: did not receive any services from this place, and wouldn't. Walked in and tweedle dee at the front couldn't be bothered to look up from him phone while we were attempting to speak to him. Not exactly a good first impression. He obviously doesn't know what customer service is. Turned around and walked out, went to a place down the street that was great! Too many options in Helen to tolerate rudeness!

Gina was super nice and did an incredible job with my eyebrow piercing. She made the experience fun , and it was really neat to see them anodize my jewelry in-shop.
The piercing itself only took about 30 minutes, but I was in the shop for nearly two hours just chatting and having a good time with the staff. 10/10 experience for my first piercing.

I had a great experience today at Mine Shaft Tattoo & Piercing. I had been thinking of my tattoo for several years and finally decided I was ready. Although I had a tattoo 15 years ago and knew what to expect, I was still nervous. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by the apprentice, to seeing Gina interact with her clients, and feeling the warmth of Jesse in response to my nervousness, I felt relaxed and comfortable. I knew I made a good choice. Not to mention, his quality of work is OUTSTANDING! My friend who is ready for her next half-sleeve is already making plans to schedule with Jesse.
