I wanna write this review with 💯 % honesty providing insight into my experience in dealing with the artist Patrick. My Sister recommend Patrick because I wanted some Polynesian tribal incorporated with existing modern tribal I have (all would sleeve my entire arm) Now, I am not writing this review in regards to the work Patrick does but instead entirely based on his unprofessional behavior. Patrick looked at my existing work gave a ballpark estimate (I was prepared to spend well over $1000) He even snapped a pic of the work I have & asked I give him some time to come up with something. We exchanged a handshake which can be considered in the business world a rather unofficial agreement. I left excited & confident he would really come up with something amazing. Polynesian tribal is light & shadow designs of shapes (triangles/squares & lines) heavy black solid lines. I was asked to give Patrick a week which I did but never heard back from him. I contacted him & didn't hear back. Then I received a message informing me he's been extremely busy & hasn't had time to design anything but to be patient & he plans to do such. These were his exact words ... (I have a lot of work on me & have dealt with many artist over time) I informed Patrick I was seeking one that I planned to get a great deal of work from. I never expected him to do "cheap work" ... his time I was fully prepared to pay for in ensuring quality work was performed. Another week went by & not a word from Patrick so I texted him a little concerned & annoyed (remember I'm gonna drop over $1000 so you'd think he'd be eager to communicate with me) afterall, often times when you drive past his shop it's extremely dead there with absolutely no vehicles in the parking lot. I asked Patrick upon not hearing from him with any designs if I needed to seek another artist. I didn't hear a reply for about a day then I received a text saying he couldn't come up with anything (which in all honesty he never attempted to present anything at all) & ultimately wasted my time when I could've been working with an actual artist who was productive in at least presenting something.
Bottom line - he may very well be an amazing artist but he lacks professionalism in conducting business. If you say you can do something & agree to come up with something to your potential client then while it may be true you're not committed to anything you are undoubtedly putting your reputation on the line & the potential client is entrusting you. This is business ... he lost a client & I would NOT recommend Patrick to anyone based on this because he can't honor the agreements he himself makes. If you need serious work I would be hesitant to go with Patrick. He could commit just as he did with me only to produce absolutely nothing at the end of a week or 2 then telling you to find another artist. I could somewhat understand if this were cheap flash art I wanted but when you start dealing with custom pieces over $1000 you'd think an artist would be a bit more eager to engage in designing something. I mean the worst I could've told him would've been "I don't like what you've come up with" BUT ... he didn't come up with anything at all so ....... thanks for absolutely nothing Patrick 👍💯
