Kona Henna Studio

This place preys on tourists knowing they wont be able to come back. To start this place is extremely pricey for what you get. I paid $15 for my lotus henna and after 1 week and a day it has already faded. I followed all the after care instructions she gave and it hardly lasted. Ive had henna from a traditional henna place and not only we’re they cheaper but it lasted. I cant believe they charged my sister $40 for her hand henna, i once got the same thing for less then $20 at a traditional henna place. Although i cant go back cause i was visiting, i hope to warn the next tourists to not get trapped and ripped off.

We love visiting Kona Henna Studio!!! We had Robin do our kids henna tattoos twice now and both times she was amazing!!! She really listens to the kids and makes them feel special. She is patient, kind, talented and has a big heart. The tattoos look awesome!!! Thank you!!!!

amazing experience! the henna was done super quickly (3 moderately complicated designs took less than an hour). when i called, they were very helpful in telling me an aproximate price of the design that i wanted. at the studio, everyone was kind and helpful. the prices were unbeatable! best henna experience

Since coming to the Island ive gotten it into my head to get a tattoo. I was walking around when i came across this place. Walked in and started looking at some of the work. Robin was finishing up with some customers but still noticed and acknowledged me and guided me to the books which was great. Found the one i wanted and we spent a good 20 minutes talking about my options and what im looking for. Before I get a permanent tattoo i want to see what it would look like. She made me feel very comfortable and i look forward to going next week to get my work done.

This studio is The Best Place Ever to get a Henna Tattoo. The clothing and other items are also Fabulous. I've been coming here to get my special occasion and just for fun henna tattoos for years. Very awesome studio!! Love the work that Maria and Robin do.

Best place in the islands to get a Henna Tattoo! The artists are so talented, and their Henna blend is professional grade and lasts a long time. Great place for family and friends to bring a small memento of Hawaii back home with them!

I have been several to Kona Henna Studio over the past six years. Maria is awesome and I often go in and say "just add some swirly lines here" and I come out with beautiful work that lasts up to a week. It is important that your skin is warm to begin with so the henna adheres. I have also gone in and seen Robin and she adds a lotus to my ankle every once in a while.
I have never had a reaction to the henna, they use the best ingredients and the safest.
It's lovely to go in and have my skin embroidered for a while and then pick something new when it has faded.
The prices are extremely reasonable and the service is excellent.

I called to ask a few questions about certain tattoos and prices. Unfortunately, I wasn’t told that I needed an appointment, before walking over there in the horrendous heat. I’ve only gotten henna tattoos in Mexico, which never required an appointment, so it didn’t occur to me that I would need an appointment. Wish I had been told on the phone. It’s my last day in Kona, so I won’t have time to get one. Maybe next trip!

Make an appointment! Make an appointment! Robin is fantastic and you’ll get right in if you make an appointment. Robin is very friendly and an outstanding artist. The best place to go on the island. Just make an appointment (feels like I’m repeating myself) and you’ll get her 1,000% attention and amazing artistry.

My mom and I got henna tattoos here during our Hawaiian vacation and they were wonderful! They did a great job on them and they were super friendly and helpful! :)
