I have been tattooed by a few amount of tattoo shops in my time and I must say. Chris at Black Elk Collective is beyond amazing. He works with my schedule to get on the books, is understanding when a re-schedule is needed, prompt at the shop and ready to go, but above all he is a spectacular Artist!!!! He has done so far, my 2 most recent pieces, that I get non-stop compliments on and love. One was a cover up and the other was for my mom and both have made me so happy to see everyday. He was SO understanding with making sure the tattoo wasn’t crooked, coloring was what I wanted and that the experience was personable. I have already another one planned with Chris and a few more to discuss. He is by far the best tattoo artist I’ve had the experience working with. I highly recommend this shop.

Best tattoo experience I've had. I recommend this place to anyone that even mentions the word tattoo, including my two adult children. The three of us went in together and all got some ink and had a great time. Jeremy tattooed my daughter and I and Alex tattooed my son. The crew is great and a lot of fun to hangout with. The place is super clean and has plenty of artwork to keep they eyes busy. My guy Jeremy has put 24 tattoos on me, working on sleeves, and I like each new one better than the last. I will definitly continue going back for more.

We had a spur of the moment idea to get tatoos and called to see if any availability. Jeremy told us he was closing but he would stay and ended up doing our tattoo's for us that night rather than having us wait. He was funny and so great at what he did. We're so happy. Great experience.

Wanted a simple finger tattoo, was told they wouldnt do it because they couldnt get it that small...? Or that it wouldnt stay...? Im so confused. I have other small tattoos and theyre still there 10 years later...
Editing to add in response to the owner's response: the "suggestions" from the artist were given in a poor manner and conveyed a feeling of "what a stupid idea" so i cut the conversation short and said nevermind and walked out as soon as i began to feel that. I brought a reference image and asked for something similar, it was very basic and small, if it was out of his technique or something he wasnt able to do he shouldve say that. He should not make the customer feel as if they have poor choice in ideas or assume they cannot afford a "minimum". If he was smarter, he would have talked with me, maybe drawn up something similar that he COULD do, and he would have been paid $200 for a single letter tattoo that would have taken no time at all. Oh well, its the shops loss, as i found another artist and it looks just as i wanted! 😊

Jeremy was judgemental, rude, and unprofessional. He tried to pressure me more than once to change my tattoo design because I wanted something simple as a dedication to my dad. He made my tattoo and my presence at the shop feel like a nuisance rather than a business opportunity. I've never felt more uncomfortable or disrespected than the short time I was in the shop yesterday. No thanks.
