Logan Square Tattoo

Speck is top notch and didn't have anyone else in mind when I got my tattoo. When she ended up at Logan Square Tattoo, I was delighted. She was always a great tattooer, but now she was in me neighborhood. Shop is clean and cool.

I went to Logan Square Tattoo as a walkin. Mike did an amazing job with my tattoo! Everything was clean and the rest of the artist were friendly to every other customer in there! I would recommend getting a consultation with difficult/complex designs. Highly recommend!

Very clean and professional shop. I have been getting tattooed by Gifford (the shop owner) and Mike Mac for years and have followed them from the shop they previously worked at in Oak Park. They have four full time artists who specialize in their own style and they frequently do guest spots with out of town artists.

My favorite part about this shop is the lack of "tattitude" you are accustomed to seeing in shops in Chicago. It is a very welcome environment and nobody is going to make you feel stupid for asking "dumb questions." This is a full custom shop so no mountains of tacky flash covering the walls.

These guys are real artists and I cannot say enough about the quality of this shop.

This is a custom shop, so when you go in, the artist you want to work with offers you a free consultation. From there, he or she will draw up a design unique to you, very attentive to your input and ideas. The shop has three full-time artists and often hosts guest artists from around the country. Between them, this shop can do pretty much whatever style of tattoo you're looking for: traditional, old school, new school, black and gray, color, biomech, small tattoos, whole and half sleeves—you name it. If you want to get a tattoo in the Chicago area, this is the place!

I travelled from Seattle to see Kel Tait to finish up some work we had previously started. Had a lovely time as usual (it helped that we were done with the back of the knee part...)

The shop was comfortable and I had a good time chatting with Mike while I was there.
Definitely a fun place to hang out for a few hours getting some amazing artwork! This was my 4th piece from Kel, just as beautiful as ever. I hope to be back, a very talented group of artists!

Great studio and a great tattoo! Speck was only working out of here temporarily, she's usually at Evoke, but I'm very happy with the work I got!

I saw Pedro Gamez few days ago for my first large piece! I found him on Instagram! @gameztattoo Check his out his clean a** fine line work! What gravitated me to choose Pedro is that he specializes in black and gray realism.

The vibe at the shop was relaxed for a tattoo shop! It did not feel intimidated whatsoever. I was greeted right away! I was nervous for my appointment, but once I saw Pedro’s sketch of my vision, all my anxiety went away! Okay fine, not all, but most! He also listens to you and makes sure you are 100% happy with the piece before working on you.

Since I had over 4 hours with Pedro, I learned his ways as an artist. I can tell he is very particular and hopes for a great outcome, as much, if not more, than yourself! He takes pride in his work! He even does fun IG videos which I will now have for life! He is so modest with his talent which I think he doesn't need to be lol! And this is why I am writing a review!!!

Visiting Chicago during Covid madness. Everything was great! Mya was super helpful with scheduling and set up, felt super comfortable with social distancing once there; temps, sanitation, and limited people in the shop. Mike was great with helping get my idea the way I wanted it and was very patient and helpful. Finish product was better than I anticipated. GREAT WORK. GREAT PRICES. Will definitely be back.

Speck was amazing and so fun. She was incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly talented at listening to what I wanted, but also making sure that the tattoo was going to work for the long haul. The parlor was very clean and professional. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend to anyone! Thank you!!!

This was my first time at Logan Square Tattoo. I had heard from a friend who regularly goes there that Heath Rave was his trusted tattoo artist. I contacted Heath to set up an appointment on very short notice and he was more that happy to take on my design. I had a very geometric design with all straight lines varying in width. This wasn't an easy design but Heath was very detailed oriented and made sure everything was lining up and that every line was straight. I couldn't be happier with his work.
