Asylum Tattoo

Extremely professional staff, very clean, do amazing work. Wait time was about a month which to me was worth it, just means your getting a good tattoo artist! I would of waited 6 months if I knew I was getting the best tattoo, and 100% can say it will be the best. 8 tattoos later and I’ll never go anywhere else. Thanks James, you truly are an artist!

I came here to leave a review about the amazing work that I have had done at Asylum Latonia and Cincinnati and was surprised to see a negative review about a no call / no show and a future member of the armed services. I know first hand the amount of respect that the owner and employees have for members of our military and police officers but in the end this is a business and they have policies in place . I'm sure they would have worked something out in the proper time frame. James has done all my tattoo work and I would not go anywhere else . I always recommend friends and family to both shops .I look forward to my appointment this week.

After 7 tattoos and 13 piercings over 6 years, I can say for sure that I recommend asylum for whatever you have in mind. All the artists are up front about what they can't or won't do and won't waste your time, and they all enjoy trying something new and will make absolutely sure you're happy with what you get. They're never pushy and always friendly, and honestly a session with any of them feels like just going to hang out with friends. They have a ton of experience and whatever style you're looking for, one of them can help. Plus a killer taste in music, there's something good playing every time I walk into the shop. Absolutely make them your first stop whenever you need some needle therapy.

Quality work every single time, and worth every penny. Martin is the best and so artistic. Joey is the best piercer, super patient and everyone does the most to make you feel comfortable and confident in your experience at their shop. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

I have had the majority of two sleeves and a leg piece done at Asylum and have never been disappointed by the quality or price!

10/10 recommend! This is THE cleanest tattoo shop I have EVER been to. (I have been to A LOT) I just got my nose pierced by Joey. He is so professional, and has immense knowledge on piercings which he has been doing for 12 years.
Before going, I called in to see if they were open and could fit me in the lady on the phone was so sweet and answered all of my questions. I’m so glad I visit Kentucky twice a year from Utah. I will definitely be back for more piercings and for a tattoo in the future!

I first stopped in this shop in January to get my nosed pierced and was told they didn’t have jewelry in and they should have it in a few weeks. I left my name and number. I received a call about 5 weeks later. So yesterday I called to ask if I could come in, I spoke directly to Joe the piercer. He said yes. When I arrived he was in the middle of a piercing so the lady at the front got my paperwork together. I waited about 25 mins and another lady walked in for a piercing, she was told that she had a piercing in front of her and it would be about a 30 min wait. A few mins later Joe comes up front, I hear the lady at the front fill him in about his customers that are waiting. He doesn’t even acknowledge me, he says the other ladies name and starts her consultation. Then he goes to the back and gets ready comes back up to the front and ask the other lady to come back so they can get her piercing done. I was so upset I just got up and left. The sad thing is I really liked this shop and was wanting to come back for my back piece immediately but now I’ll be finding a new shop!

The artists are great it's the people working the front. Apparently they're giving wrong prices over the phone and it just seems more complicated than it should be and overpriced

Hands down the best shop around! They were able to save my piercing from closing up after the ring fell out. If you need any work done, go to Asylum. Joey is the GOAT!

Went in here around 630 inquiring about a classic/standard ear lobe piercing. Was given price of 50 for one 70 for two. Was a little shocked that it was 70 for both, really think it should have been under 50 for both. But then I don't know the ins and outs of lobe piercings so that may be the standard, as welll as only ever having used that disgusting gun from Claire's as a kid. I've had other piercings before and just wasn't expecting that price.

Anyway I got this really nice guy, Joey, who did my ears. Not once did I really feel nervous or anxious about it, just for a split second on being told to lay back. He did an excellent job and was very quick and clean about the whole thing.

I would definitely recommend someone to Asylum as well as to Joey. I tipped 4 dollars... But I never even thought about tipping a piercer before so wasn't sure how much to even give!

Great place, Def worth it.
