Downtown Classic Tattoo

I've not yet used this business. But plan to in the future. I have been in there though. Very nice place. My nephew Adam Harper works there now and stopped by to see him when I was in town. Very nice people that work there. The shop was very clean and well kept. Can't wait to get my nexted tattoo done there. I've gotten 4 tattoos done by him. He is a great artist and does great tattoos.

Patrick was the artist who did my tattoo. He was super friendly and I was really clear that I don’t like traditional style tattoos for me so if that wasn’t his thing, absolutely no problem. He was very happy and gave me a book with his work; I picked out a butterfly he said had done. The stencil is always hard to tell but the tattoo he put on me was nothing like the image and nothing at all what I had asked for. With tattoo artists it’s extremely difficult as the customer to know when to ask questions and when to say nothing because we don’t want to upset our artist, it’s a difficult dynamic but I communicated really clearly multiple times without crossing the line of being annoying and he said it was a piece of cake and completely his style, but then did something completely different. When I asked anything he just kept saying “it’ll look so awesome when it’s done.” The images are what he showed me and said was his work (I took the picture to send a friend because I was so excited), the other image is the one he did. An expensive permanent mark that I’ve tried so hard to like but it’s not me, not my style, and not what he promised. Not responsible as an artist and really not kind to me to take $300 for something completely opposite of what I asked for. By the time he was done he was also in a really odd/bad mood so I just paid and got out of there trying to be as nice as I could but I was SO bummed.

I got my very first tattoo done by Sean and since then have gotten three more and don’t plan on ever going anywhere else. I absolutely love all of my tattoos the colors are beautiful the lines are clean I couldn’t ask for better tattoos. Not to mention the whole atmosphere of the shop of amazing they are all super friendly and welcoming. Definitely the place to go if you are looking for rad well done tattoos.

Downtown Classic is by far one of the best tattoo shops in Western KY. It is a very clean facility with great customer service. They have several different artists to choose from that will give you exactly what you’re wanting in a tattoo. I’ve personally had 3 done at this shop just in 2021 and all of them turned out amazing! If you’re considering a shop in Paducah, Ky or the surrounding areas I definitely recommend this one!

I told him a few things about my son who had passed away. Then he sat down to drawing and I tried not to look when he was doing it so it'd be a surprise... It turned out amazing! It's perfect! I can't thank you enough, Pat...

Everyone there are amazing artists and great people in general! I've been there a lot of they've all made me feel like a personal friend of theirs. I definitely will not be going anywhere else to get tattoos ever again!

HIGHLY suggest Downtown Classic Tattoo! we drove two hours from Illinois and got stood up by another tattoo place (Electric Arts) and Sean was able to fit us in no problem. Super friendly, great environment. Definitely go here if you’re looking for professional work. It was our first time and he made it so easy for us!

Absolutely the best shop in Paducah. The artists are all very welcoming and friendly. Each of their work is amazing as well!!! I tell every person who asks ab tattoos to go here!

Absolutely AMAZING place!!! Just got my favorite tattoo just now! By Sean. Very kind. Very clean. Probably the best tattoo shop I have ever been too. The other tattoo artists are very respectful and kind! Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a bomb tattoo!!!

I had made an appointment with Sean for a piece on my shoulder..my son ended up getting sick (all 3 actually) so I cancelled. A new girl at a shop in TN(where I get my piercings) ended up doing that piece the following week. I rescheduled with Sean, and put down a deposit. I picked another design because #1 -I ended up getting the other at a friends shop #2-from Sean’s pictures, it looked like he could do a great job on the other piece I wanted.
I went in for my appointment. The shop was super nice, clean and he did a great job. However.... that night I got a message from Sean asking why I got the other tattoo somewhere else, if it was his price or what? I answered and said Definitely not, it just worked out that way, and that I’m sorry I had to cancel...I also work by appointment and understand the importance in keeping those. Then, he says it again..was it the price..he thought he had given me a fair price...and that he thought it was odd that I cancelled with him, then rescheduled and picked something different. I apologized AGAIN. That makes 4 apologies all together. After I told him I was looking forward to getting more work done by him, but he was making it weird...he was still defensive. I personally thought this was SO unprofessional. I hardly ever write reviews.. especially negative ones...but damn...also the previous week he was pretty hateful with my friend about getting a tattoo of a picture her daughter had painted..her daughter passed away suddenly several years ago. He informed her that it would not make a nice tattoo and he wouldn’t do it. She wanted it because her daughter created it- not because it’s the cutest thing in his little book of things he’s able to draw.
He seems to have much to learn about running a business and most importantly, customer service.
