Black Swallow Tattoo Studio

My wife got her tattoo done by Christopher Scott. They have Amazing artists, friendly atmosphere, and a very clean environment. Will return in the future for more ink.

I waited a bit after getting my tattoo done to write this review just to do due diligence and let it heal up a bit. Now that I’ve done that I am happy to say that I cannot say enough in favor of Black Swallow. They graciously got us in on fairly short notice after I unexpectedly had my aging grandmother in town who decided she wanted her first tattoo at 73 and from the go all of the artists were fun, knowledgeable, welcoming, and talented as hell. Since it was somewhat last minute everyone got some basic line art, which was super reasonably priced, well done, and is healing up amazingly. Overall I had an amazing first experience with the artists at Black Swallow and will definitely be back for my next big piece.

I had went in for a consultation and everyone was friendly and welcoming.I had chose Lasaro Santos to do my tattoo because I had reviewed his page and fell in love with his designs. It was my first tattoo so I was nervous but he made me feel very comfortable. I had sent him a plain design and he made it my own. I plan on going back very soon!

This was my 3rd tattoo experience with Scott and it was incredible. I had pitched my idea to him (horse running through water with phrase above elbow) and when I returned 2 weeks later for my appt, he surprised with a very unique design and told me he was "anxious" to show me because he wanted me to like it. :) That showed so much care and thoughtfulness and it turned out much better and more beautiful than I imagined. His feedback is solid and he will not lead you astray. The rest of his staff is very friendly and they seem to have a good camaraderie with each other. All very talented as well. So, if you're looking for a spectacular tattoo and enjoyable experience, look no further than Black Swallow. :)

Absolute professionalism! My husband, myself and my niece all three got pieces done by Christopher Scott. We walked in to a clean, inviting environment and left so pleased with our new pieces that we questioned why we've ever gone anywhere else. All future pieces will be done here. Artist was quick, but precise, focused and never rushed. It was obvious that this is his passion and he's an expert in his field.

Everyone was incredibly nice and knew what they were doing. I got a simple tattoo on my hand, but I'm really impressed with how quickly he did the tattoo and how well it's healed. This is my fifth tattoo, first at Black Swallow, and it's been by far the best experience. I'll definitely be back for my next one.

Scott absolutely exceeded all expectations with my leg sleeve. Color, Cartoon, black and grey photo realism, portraits all combined and every inch of it came out incredible. Super professional, super clean, and made the absolute most of 10 hours. One of the best experiences ive had with a tattoo artist and shop. Im not the easiest client to please and have been looking for an artist in the lafayette area for years to do this piece. I chose him for a reason instead of others and his work speaks for itself.

Recently had some tattoo work done by Black Swallow. The artist Scott was extremely talented and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and happy with placement,design and the entire tattooing process. I will definitely use Black Swallow in the future for any work I want done.

Have gotten 2 tattoos from this shop and plan on getting another one soon. Definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for their first tattoo or even just a new tattoo to add to their collection. It’s just a nice atmosphere in the shop and everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Beyond thankful for the talent that Lasaro Santos has in his work. He mastered this one just as I imagined it! He’s the sweetest soul. If your In need for some ink therapy I highly recommend him go see him at Black Swallow Tattoo Studio in Lafayette.
