Tribute Tattoo Parlor

Services where not performed. I had a consultation with Matthew Hockaday in January 2021. I gave him an 80 dollar deposit for the drawing of a tattoo. I also gave him a 180 dollar deposit for my initial session. He scheduled me for May 14th. I called to confirm the appointment. I never got a call back until the day before. He cancelled on me. He asked if we could started on our 2nd scheduled session. I told him yes. Once again I called 3 days prior to the session to confirm. Matthew finally reached out the day before and asked to do the tattoo on the following day. I exclaimed that I had to work. This is why we scheduled the original dates to begin with. I expressed that I felt put off. I never got to see a rough copy of my tattoo. He was not responsive about my concern. I kindly asked for a refund. I made it very clear that there where no hard feelings. He never gave me any type of refund. He sent me a snarky text stating that he spent 7 hours drawing my tattoo. He was not going to not get paid for it. Well, I never saw the drawing. I don't know if he actually did it to vegin with, as he had ignored my calls and texts. In closing, Matthew stole $260 from me. I sure am glad that I didn't pay for the whole tattoo up front. Beware, his schedule is convenient for him. Not his loyal customers. PS I have 2 tattoos from him over the years. I've always been a follower. Truly upsetting.

Justin does a great job! He was a recommendation from a friend in California who is originally from Michigan. She has beautiful tattoos that stay looking beautiful and I knew her recommendation would be top notch. This spot was clean and professional and very friendly. They took their time on my tattoo and I was very impressed with the final product! I will be back when I'm visiting town again!

Crystal is an awesome person, along with an amazing artist. Came in for a very important tattoo, a couple months back, she had my concept, and sketched a few different styles for me to choose from, and was very understanding and patient as I know I was probably a little pickier with it than i should have been. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Today i go back for my touch up, and i am super excited. I will most DEFINITELY be a return customer, and tell all my friends who are interested that this is the shop to go to. Im sure the others are great, but Crystal is my recommendation.

Terrence, for just starting out in the business, did a Most Excellent Job on my tat: cycles of the moon. I saw one of Matt's when I was there, was also Great. Would highly recommend Tribute Tattoo in Waterford. Very friendly too.
