"We are a trans and asian owned tattoo studio in South Minneapolis. ! We are a community of 18 queer, nonbinary, trans or female identifying staff. We are by appointment only and do not accept walk-ins or short notice tattoos. We do not do piercings. Our artists are independent contractors and handle their own booking. I had a good experience for my first visit to Jackalope. My artist was Nora, and they did a great job with a memorial piece I had. I felt realxed in the shop as it had a calm atmosphere. I plan on coming back once I acquire extra funds for more tattoos.
Everyone in the shop was also polite and friendly. (kudos to asking for pronouns on the intake forms!)

Katie is my artist and I've been getting work done by here for 6+ years. She has always been amazing. Jackalope is in an incredible new location with a new, very motivated owner. Emo is also an incredible artist and I'm sure they will lead Jackalope to all-new heights. I love it every time I visit.

Jackalope Tattoo is by far one, if not the, best shop in the Twin Cities. I see one of their artists exclusively but can say that all of them have been nothing but kind, sweet, and absolutely professional every single time I’ve stepped foot in their door. The shop is inviting, filled with natural light and lovely plants in the front waiting area, beautifully decorated and SPOTLESS. I have sent so many friends and colleagues to Jackalope and they have had nothing but fabulous things to say about their experiences as well. I ❤️ Jackalope Tattoo.

Not only is Jackalope’s shop exceptionally clean, inclusive and welcoming (seriously the best atmosphere!), the artists are immensely talented. They have passion and are highly skilled in their work, they also care deeply about their client’s satisfaction with the finished product. After having two beautiful pieces completed from this shop, I highly recommend them!

I've gone to Jackalope since they opened at their original location. I've worked with three of their artists and all have been wonderful. They offer amazing work in an inclusive space making for a fantastic experience. Highly would recommend, it's definitely worth waiting for their books to open.

2021 edit: Updated Amo’s pronouns in my review and adding that I’ve continued to be tattooed by them and my original review still stands - Jackalope is a clean, comfortable space with incredible artists. I still haven’t gone to anyone but Amo for my tattoos and having added a number of them since my first review I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend this shop and all of the artists to anyone!
I love Jackalope! I went to Amo a couple years back , hoping to finally get an artist that I really liked as I continued to get tattoos, and I've found that with Amo! I decided to go to them for my big piece, a thigh tattoo in honor of my grandpa, and one I had been waiting a long time to get because I wanted to have 100% trust in an artist. It turned out better than I could've ever hoped for. The next day when I took off the protective layer and I got to look at it again, I ended up getting emotional, it was so perfect. He would've loved it. I'm going back for my third tattoo with Amo and bringing in my mom for her first - I'll never go to anyone else or go to another shop!
Overall, the shop is clean, everyone is friendly, and it's a really nice environment to get tattooed in. I have always felt incredibly comfortable! I recommend Jackalope to anyone getting a tattoo!

Pure class. The shop is clean, well run and super friendly. Katie has done 2 tattoos on me and I have another apt booked with her in September. She listened to my ideas and checked out some reference photos and then used her amazing skill to come up with something unique. Love it.
