This was the first tattoo shop I've been to, and now that I've been to others, I realize how sketchy this one is. Ashley gave my friend a tattoo that she insisted would look good once it healed, and it didn't:– she had to get it re-done.
I also asked them about a tattoo, and they quoted me $300, and I said no. The cashier pressured me and teased me throughout my friend's tattoo to get the one I asked for. I ended up getting that tattoo at another shop for $120 and it was great.
I've been to several tattoo shops now, and this is the only one I've gotten a bad vibe from.

Been here a few times now for 8 piercings and the piercers are just fantastic. They’re honestly some of the best I’ve ever encountered, and they just do an awesome job. Everyone that works here is really cool and nice, and they make it a comfortable environment for you no matter what you’re getting done. I highly recommend coming here! The only thing I’d say is a con is that piercing pricing is very expensive compared to other places in the Twin Cities. A helix piercing by itself was $75, rook was $75, nipples are $120 for a pair. Other than that, love this place and they do a great job.

I went and got my nose pierced a few days ago and it went very well I had read through the reviews and saw some good and some bad as well but I still chose to go there to get it done and honestly I'm glad that I did everyone was very nice and the gentleman who did my piercing was very cool I didn't catch his name but he did an amazing job and was very clean and professional about it and made sure to tell me what to expect and how to make sure to take good care of it I will definitely be going back there in the future when I decide to get anymore and I'd definitely recommend this place

We have been to this shop in the past with appointments and had good experiences, but yesterday we showed up for the advertised, free apprentice tattoos and honestly had a horrible day. We were the 2nd group in the shop, with only 3 people ahead of us and were told we would receive a call when she was available. We waited near the shop from 12pm to 7pm and never received a call. We did call 3 times throughout the day to check in or maybe get an ETA, when we were told "we will call you when we call you." At 5:50pm I asked if she would be able to see us today when we were told "She's just finishing up! You're up next!" And by 7pm we decided to just call it quits and STILL never received a call. I get it, it's a free tattoo so I don't want to be greedy, but would've just been nice to not have wasted our entire day off just to be given the runaround. We brought items to tip with, wanted to support a new artist and share a positive word to our friends, but yesterday was a big let down for us. Again, we have received services from your shop before, but after yesterday I don't think that we will be back.

CASH ONLY!!!
Maybe it’s because it was Sunday maybe it’s because they’re bad at balancing their books. We chat with staff, filled out paperwork and played pool, we then decided on tattoo size and placement when we were ready to go, we were told CASH ONLY, I offered CashApp to the young lady, we were directed to Kowalskis where there was a cash machines.
My husband and I own small businesses and there is no way we’d do business as such.
Cash Only would have been communicated immediately, which now leaves the mind open to form other opinions about this place of business 💯🫣

Went in to get an ear jewelry replaced because the ball fell out (got it a month ago at a different shop out of state), it was done so aggressively and was so painful that I yelled as it was being done. Left with a bloody ear and it wasn’t even put in right (wasn’t fully connected, was also warped), I then had to go to a different shop to get it replaced because it was so tight and put in improperly that I was in pain.

Too often businesses only receive reviews if things don't go as planned for the customer. However, this wasn't the case for me! I just had the best experience ever. I needed to be seen to have my piercings removed and reinserted for an MRI. I have approximately 20 piercings between both of my ears. From the moment I walked in the door until I sat in the chair, I was treated with respect. Ben, the piercer spent over an hour for each of my visits and never at any time made me feel like I was being an inconvenience. The receptionist was fantastic too! I will definitely be coming back for all of my piercing and tattoo work. All I can say to the team at Mutiny Tattoo is thank you for such a great experience.
