Lucky Llama Tattoo

Fantastic experience for my first tattoo. The shop was clean, organized, and visually pleasing. Wade did a great job making me feel comfortable and welcomed throughout the entire experience. He made sure we got every detail nailed down exactly the way I wanted it. Both Wade and Jon let me choose the music and were professional yet fun and comical. Would definitely recommend to others, already thinking about my next tattoo!

Went here on a recommendation. Wade Artist/Owner did a horrible job! Pretty sure he wasn't 100% sober at the time either, don't know why I didn't speak up... trusted the recommendation too much I guess. Now I have to find a good artist to do a cover up. So disappointed!

Jacōba has been my artist for several pieces, one shown in this post. Her style is one of true creative expression, fostering trust, fluidity, and mind-blowing pieces with her clients. She is professional, respectful, mindful, and very clean in her processes/practices. Her years in the industry have manifested her unique process that yield incredible, long lasting works of art in all mediums that you cannot learn from a book or teach quickly - especially in her tattooing. Having our most recent sessions at Lucky Llama Tattoo, I would like to speak about that environment. It is bright, open, clean and friendly. Given the current conditions with COVID19 in Minnesota, they follow best practices, respect peoples privacy and health, as well as have created a unique space in New Hope, MN that I truly hope to last for a very long time. The Lucky Llama is a true gem for the area, and the collective creative talent accounting for decades of skill in one shop is an amazing thing to experience and a blessing to be a patron. I would highly recommend both Jacōba and the Lucky Llama for someone getting their first piece done to someone whom has been getting many tattoos. This is a safe, friendly, and awesome place!

Jacoba is a phenomenal tattoo artist! I came in for a cover up tattoo on my right wrist and left with a gorgeous tattoo from wrist to elbow. The old tattoo is nowhere to be seen. The artistry and dedication that Jacoba has for tattooing is evident in all of her work. The shop is fantastic as well - I love all the plants and the homey atmosphere. I highly recommend Jacoba and Lucky Llama tattoo to anyone looking for a high quality tattoo that they will love for a lifetime.

Wade is a great tattoo artist. Very talented and professional. He has done amazing work on my sleeve and I’m so pleased how it’s coming along.If u want quality work I highly recommend this shop, everyone there is so down to earth and talented love this place.

I got my upper right arm done by Jācoba at Lucky Llama and it was easily the best tattoo experience I have ever had!!! I told her what I wanted and why it was important to me and she turned my vision into an art piece way beyond anything I could dream of. She was supportive, kind, made all three sessions as comfortable as possible with great conversation, would continually ask how I was doing and if I needed anything. Asked my feedback on placement and color to make sure I loved the end result which I do. I get complimented all the time on the piece. It’s gorgeous and is a real treasure to have. I know I will continue to go to Jācoba and Lucky Llama for all my future tattoos and highly recommend for everyone to go there as well!!!

Lucky Llama has a great environment; I'm currently getting a sleeve done by Wade the owner and I couldn't ask for a more professional experience, also this man knows style and he will work with you to create the best piece!

I emailed them about a setting up a tattoo consultation and received a response about 24 hours later from a woman named Briana.

Briana said that she would like to get me in for a consultation within the following few days.

I responded immediately to try and set up an exact date and time.

3 days and 2 emails later - no response.

Very disappointed since they were recommended to me by a good friend.

I had such a great experience getting tattooed by Zack! The shop is so clean and welcoming, everyone there was so friendly. Highly recommend! I will definitely be going back.

Professional, clean, and above all, fantastic artist. We got our work done by Zack Vande Krol, who is not only easy on the eyes, but also light on then touch. He did outstanding work and we will be coming back.
