My friend and I came in for a walk in and wanted bee tattoos! Joey did both of our tattoos. My friend went before me ended up with an amazing tattoo with lots of details and he made sure it was everything she asked for! She was incredibly pleased and happy with her end result because Joey went above and beyond for her. It took him an hour for her tattoo and it showed. While my tattoo on the other hand took about 30 minutes and Joey seemed to rush my tattoo. I got what I asked for but nothing more than that. I didn’t get white highlights or the colors I asked for. I wanted light pink and purple for the flowers and got bright instead. I am not complaining because it was a walk-in and my tattoo is still really great. I am a bit disappointed though because Joey went above and beyond for my friend but not me. I am now having to go to another tattoo shop once it heals to get it touched up and add the extra details it’s missing. I think I may have had a different experience if I had booked the appointment in advance. I’m overall happy with the tattoo but definitely think it needs more. I’d recommend blague owl tattoo for anyone in Missoula! Joey is an awesome tattoo artist and made sure my friend and I were comfortable! I just wish I got the same experience and details in my tattoo as my friend.

I loved getting a tattoo here! Teal was very flexible and made a beautiful design based off references I sent her while also putting her own artistry into the design. She was a delight to talk to and work with. The atmosphere of the shop was welcoming and everything was very well-kept and clean. 10/10 would reccommend.

Forrest at Blaque Owl did an amazing job covering up an old tattoo on my arm, helping me to be more confident. He does incredible detailed line work, which I have received many comments on, plus he was nice to talk to. 5 stars- would highly recommend!

Teal is no professional. Terrible communicator. Mock up drawing the night before your appointment is also a bad idea. But I had trust it would be good (it was just a floral design, super simple ) but it wasn’t even close to what I had in mind despite sending photos. So I had to cancel the night before and she kept my deposit. Communicating with her leading up to the appointment was spotty, (only via email and sometimes IG, not at the shop since she wanted to have the appointment at her duplex home) and she asked no questions about what I wanted but still told me I had an appointment. I’m beginning to think she was bamboozling me. Should’ve seen the signs that she was unprofessional and shady.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Joey for six years and highly recommend him! He has tattooed both traditional and geometry on me and they come out perfect every time. He is very professional and takes his time on each tattoo to ensure his best work.

I met Joey G. as a customer in my store. I had been told he was an artist and scoped his work out on Instagram. He was easily approachable in person and friendly. I asked what kind of work he preferred and he was quick to say he was "open to trying new things" which was very welcoming. I contacted him on Instagram soon after and he quickly responded to get me scheduled. The tattoo I chose is 2 hands, one on each side of my behind. I was comfortable and Joey was completely professional the entire time. He placed the first stencil on as a reference and placed the second stencil on a few times over, to ensure that the hands were as symmetrical as physically possible. I especially appreciated this (and so does my spouse). The healing was very quick. No hard lines or scarring. His line work and small details are impeccable! The placement is a shame because it is by far, my most impressive piece as well as my favorite (and I cannot share with everyone). Joey is CARE-ful. He is personable. Professional. And CLEAN. I highly recommend him. I will be going to him for all future tattoo appointments! 10/10!
