Ok so where to start... my husband and I were on vacation without the kids and decided to get a couples tattoo, A bow for him and an arrow for me. Drove by the shop and said letβs just check it out. Walked in and spoke with dawn about what we wanted. Also Steve came over and asked him for advice on which pics of what we wanted etc. we walked in they took care of us right away. Dawn was so welcoming and helpful , as well as Steve. Knowing we were on vacation they allowed us to enjoy dinner and time together while they sketched up exactly what we wanted. When we got there everything was perfect and beyond what we ever expected. They were so professional and knew exactly what they were taking about. Steve placed our tattoos in the perfect spot and made us feel so at ease and in good hands. They have top of the line equipment and are all about quality work and making the customers happy with realistic outcomes of what works best. So I tried so hard not to move and unfortunately I couldnβt help but to do so and with that challenge and dawns help holding my arm he nailed the line work and made it look and seem effortless. Now that takes talent! My husband is so amazed with Steveβs linework on the bow he chose and Steve went above and beyond and added detail to the bow which made it look a million times better! Steve is a genius at his work and I may never go to another artist again! Highly highly highly recommended!!! You will never regret going to tattoo America! Best everything! Amazing artwork! Steve is beyond talented and his wife is the sweetest! Felt like being with family! Go there now and always!!! If I could add more stars I would!!!! Prices are great and work is spectacular !!

Excellent tattoo artist this is my second tattoo and it came out perfect. I def will be going back for more work. Very awsome artist took the time to do excellent work. Never been more pleased with how my tattoo came out color and all it is exactly what I was looking for.

Very nice and pleasant environment and would have loved to have my work done here, but 6 month waiting list, really? And wanted to take my own idea and re-draw it, says it was a good drawing but wanted to use a computer to re do the images.. sorry my drawing are all custom and I wanted it the way it was drawn. That's the only reason for the rating.. great staff tho.

Went with a friend to lighthouse tattoos. They came out amazing. My tattoo is tiny and on my ankle and the amount of detail is amazing. Could not be happier! We will definitely be back.

I've been going to Tattoo America since I graduated from high school in 1990. They do awesome work. Very reasonably priced. Friendly atmosphere. I've been to other tattoo shops in different states. I think Tattoo America is the best. I just got my 30th one back in April of 2017

Steve is an AMAZING artist who won't let you leave his chair until HE is comfortable with the work he's putting out. His precision tools and high quality ink made my tattoo one of the most painless I've ever experienced! Dawn and Steve make you feel extremely at home in the shop while completely following health regulations to a T.
My mom and I went in for memorial tattoos for my grandparents and both Steve and Dawn were extremely empathetic with the whole situation. They took a tragedy and made it a mile stone. Selfless wonderful people! Thank you so much guys <3

I have never had a professional tattoo done before so as a normal person I ask questions I was told they were only going to draw once and when I got there how I took it was I had to get what he drew or pay for him to draw something else Donβt get me wrong I was OK with that but I also asked if I could alter it if I didnβt like it and then was told they donβt wanna do my tattoo anymore because when they open they only tattoo and because they have more customers then just me I was just Curious because I have never gotten one before and Iβm not going to put somebody elseβs vision on my body when I have my own disrespectful customer service Iβd never Recommend

Steve the Owner of tattoo America is the most caring ,sweet ,and HONEST man that I had the pleasure to meet he did a tattoo for a friend of mine who had just lost her son a few months ago it was really special for her to have it exactly the way she wanted it . I seen a smile on her face for the first time in a while and then the unthinkable happen I used the lady room and my wedding ring went down the drain in the sink Steve knew that I had just lost my husband 2 years prior

My husband and I made an appointment to get tattoos after going into the shop to discuss what we wanted in detail with Dawn. She seemed helpful and made suggestions as to change up our idea. She was a little pushy with what she thought we should do but I thought she was just making sure we got the best quality tattoo. I had to find the artwork I wanted online and send it to her via Facebook which I thought was odd but okay.
When we came in, the drawing she gave us for my husband tattoos wasn't what we asked for. The placement of the name was in the wrong place. Dawn was completely offended that my husband wanted her to change it. She reminded us that her "artwork" should be billed at $120 an hour but she did it for free...Okay. The artwork was done on the computer. She also had the spelling of my husbands name wrong on my tattoo even after I sent her the spelling on facebook.
My daughter came in with us and wanted to see if she could get a very simple tattoo (in honor of my battle with breast cancer). It was a heart with a breast cancer ribbon on the side. Dawn warned her that the pink color she wanted for the ribbon (without a black outline) may spread over time. The design was very small and simple and my daughter really didn't want the outline. She was discussing it with my husband. He said "don't worry about it if that's what you really want. I've seen it before...you might need to fixed after time.". My daughter understood Dawn's advice but wanted to do it anyway. She's the paying customer, right??? WRONG.
When STEVE finished with the customer ahead of us, he called someone else over to the chair. Then he YELLED. Yes I mean YELLED across the tattoo shop, "I'M NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR BUSINESS! YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" We were completely confused and embarrassed. When we asked why he said it was because he doesn't do business with people who "think they know more than we do about tattoos"! Dawn stepped in and said he overhead what my husband said about my daughters tattoo and thought it was very rude and disrespectful! UNBELIEVABLE! My husband tried to ask Steve how exactly his comment that my daughter's tattoo would be okay they way she wanted it if that's what she had her heart set on RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL???? He wouldn't even look up at my husband.
These people have GIGANTIC EGOS and have no interest in being polite to customers. Dawn and Steve want to churn out their "artwork" on the computer and have no one question them whatsoever. The customer doesn't have the right to have an opinion even though they are paying for the tattoo.
By the way, we went down the street to Jim's Tattoo. Everyone there was POLITE and FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL. My daughter got her tattoo the way she wanted it. Jim's was professional and advised her of what could happen to her tattoo over time. Joe did the tattoo and it was awesome.
Korie did my husband and I's tattoos and they came out awesome. The actual artwork was so much better
