Next Chapter Tattoo

Came in with my daughter for small matching memorial tattoos in my oldest daughters handwriting, who passed away. ***DAVID*** did the most spectacular job! The tattoo he gave us looks exactly like the sample writing we brought it. Such a steady hand with clean, fine, precise, crisp lines!!! There’s not a single stroke or line out of place. No hiccups at all!!!!! He truly is an amazing artist in tune with his craft. This is my daughters first tattoo and we both love it. He had us laughing and joking about old movies, which was a blessed distraction and kept our spirits up!! We have found our new tattoo guy❤️

Walked in and walked out one hour later with my tat. Love it! Very professional and friendly. Super satisfied!

This is going to be lengthy but these are all of my personal experiences I have had with them. I'm honestly somewhat surprised with how good the reviews for this place are... I suppose that's what happens in smaller communities where everyone knows everyone and you kind of don't really have an option for anywhere else. Well here goes. I've lived in Clovis for years and have seen this shop when it first opened on 7th(?) I believe. I didn't get any work, or try to at least, until they were on Prince. I had a set appointment with Andrew, the shop owner, went in and was told he was picking his kids up from school but should be back within 20 minutes. I waited for an hour and tried calling him but got no answer or call back. So I went in the next day, he wasn't there then either. Third day, I got in and he did the tattoo but charged me 20$ more than he had originally said; I didn't mind too much since it was still a pretty good deal. A few months later I had an appointment for some small lettering with Fernando. I went up to the door and it was locked, there was another car in the lot, with two girls in it. They asked if I had an appointment, I replied yes and they said they had one too, booked for the same time, also with Fernando. I'm not sure how long they had been waiting before I showed up, but they stayed 30 minutes and I stayed 45, we both tried calling but no answer. I never received a call back either. Another few months I set an appointment with Andrew and it went well, however I asked about touch ups and he said wait about 2 months then get back to him. I waited about that time and walked in the shop to talk about it, he told me something a long the lines of "well since touch ups are free, let me get my next few appointments out of the way for the next week then I'll get back you. I gotta make money man" I understood and said that's fine. Waited, never heard from him so I messaged him about 2 weeks later but he never replied. Set up an appointment with the piercer, he never showed up. Waited a few weeks then just walked in with a friend, got the piercing but was charged an extra 10$. He said he upped the price because it was a difficult spot (septum), which I hear he no longer does. Few years later, now the shop has moved to Main, so I hoped the business is more serious and professional, but the same stuff has still happened. Tried to call about getting an eyebrow piercing, but the piercer didn't show up. Tried to talk to Andrew about a tattoo, he said he would get back to me but never did. The apprentice Logan also tattoos out of houses along with tattooing at the tattoo shop and drastically overcharges for his level of work and experience. I have seen good work from Chris, David, and Brian, but haven't gotten to try and work with them yet. Hopefully others have better experiences than me.

Absolutely recommend! The customer service is wonderful. Andrew worked hard to make sure I was 100% satisfied. He made me feel comfortable, explained thoroughly, and did an outstanding job. I will be going back!

Absolutely love all the artists here! I've known Dru forever since we were babies damn near! David is one if the best if not the best Artist in New Mexico & West Texas hands down.

Giving 4 stars because I'm in love with my tattoo that Brian did but did not have the greatest experience throughout. I wasn't ID'd, asked to sign a waiver, and never had a consultation which I thought was sketchy. Overall didn't have the best communication with the artist himself, he was snappy and seemed unhappy the entire session.

I was really nervous when I went in to get a piercing. It was quick and there was very little pain if any. My daughter and I will definitely be going back for more. Thank You Ruben!!

David Martinez is the artist I see, he did a great job and is very professional. He is very busy so you do have to book with him a few weeks in advance but he is well worth the wait.
