Best shop in Charlotte! I got my first tattoo and every tattoo here. Shop is cool as hell! The staff is so polite and accommodating. Any style you want there is someone there that masters it.

Compare the artists portfolio with other shops and there is a clear talent difference at this shop. The price and wait are well worth having great art on you!

By far the best shop I've ever had the pleasure of visiting! An Extremely clean and inviting atmosphere, built inside of a meticulously renovated old Victorian style house. The management team of Brandon and Mae is second to none focusing on the client experience and professionalism. Now for the reason you go to a tattoo shop, the tattoers. The crew of amazingly skilled and versatile artists that co-owners Chris and Matt have put together are unmatched! Whatever style/size/challenge, the crew at Made to last has it covered....if I had more time in Charlotte I would've set up appointments with Graham, Brian, Jason, Evan, and Jeremy! They are all extremely talented people and their work speaks for itself!!

Shop Manager - Brandon is as great of an asset to Made to Last Tattoo as much as the amazing artists there. I heard that an artist I've been following for a long time will be working there so I had A TON of questions. Brandon was very patient and answered all my questions without being dismissive. You can tell he genuinely cares about the clients, the tattoo culture/community and the art. He made it easy for me to commit to getting tattoo art done there because of his knowledge and level of care!

Michael is great! 7 piercings from him now. He's personable and willing to answer any questions. He explains what he's doing and is super helpful in picking out jewelry or helping you place what you already have.

I’ve been here a few times and will keep going back. Every artist that works here is top notch, whatever style tattoo you want, they have someone that will take care of you. The artists are very professional, helping you refine your ideas so that you have the best finished product. All of the staff is friendly and welcoming from the front to the back. Bedsides those important factors, this is a very clean facility, and nicely decorated. You can tell the staff take pride in their facility.

I've been here a few times and have been pierced by Michael. He's an awesome guy and is great at what he does! I had him redo some piercings for me that had ripped out. He was able to save the area and I was not in ANY pain like i was the first time the area had been done. Last time i had to wear ice packs for two days on the area and when Michael did the piercing, i could move freely and was in zero pain. Plus if you have any questions he's super quick to answer! I definitely recommend seeing Michael for any of your piercing needs in Charlotte!

Could not be happier! Every bit of my experience here was excellent. Everyone was in a great mood and extremely professional, even someone who may be intimidated and getting their first tattoo would be right at home. It's very clear the second you walk in that everyone has a lot of pride in where the work. The shop is super clean, and a lot of care is taken to making sure everything around the tattooing area is sanitary. Chris (one of the owners) did a tattoo of my cat on my arm. We were there from 4-8:30 between drawing, tattooing, and taking some time after to get pictures. I was a little nervous we weren't going to finish or that something would get rushed when closing time got close, but there was absolutely no rush and every tiny detail was paid attention to. My tattoo came out even better than I had hoped. I've only had it a day and have gotten so many compliments on it even though its currently healing and covered in tegaderm! I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people I was lucky enough to interact with while there, it was a completely different experience from other shops I had been to in the past. Will be back for sure, and really looking forward to future pieces!

Jason Hanna did an AMAZING job on my custom tattoo. I described the concept and gave him some examples of the type of look I wanted. He put together a wonderful design, made me feel at ease (I was pretty nervous due to my last experience elsewhere), and it was relatively painless! It healed up very nicely and it looks wonderful. Beyond his technical skill, I got to chat with him a lot during my visit and found him to be a really awesome individual. If someone is going to craft something that will last a lifetime on me, I want it to be of the hands of a genuinely good person and I absolutely got that with Jason. I'm super happy with the whole situation and I will definitely be back very soon to get more work done!

Got my first tattoo ever from here the other day with Jason and the experience was perfect from beginning to end. Gave Jason some references but ultimately gave him creative freedom and he absolutely nailed it. He surprised me with the shading work and I immediately fell in love. Definitely will be coming back!

I’ve been tattooed twice here from two different artists. The staff gets back to you so quickly through email and makes the booking process smooth and quick. Easily one of if not the top tattoo shop in Charlotte. Amazing artists. Everyone’s so nice along with the inside of the shop being so cool and fun to look at while getting tattooed. Would give 10 stars if I could.
