Tattoo Asylum

Bruce was amazing. I was very weary about having anyone touch the tattoo my brother started before he passed away, but bruce made our vision from back in the day turn into a reality and did very amazing work. Originally we had discussed a price and he was able to do it for a little less then we had discussed budget wise. That's super rare for a shop. I will be getting all of my work done by tattoo asylum from now on.

My wife and I just went here to get some more ink. We walked in and even though it was a somewhat busy night, they still managed to fit us in. Very courteous staff and professional artists. Danny did our work and did it well. He was open to our ideas and gave some helpful suggestions without taking anything away from our ideas and what we were going for. He was quick without sacrificing any amount of quality. Danny and Tattoo Asylum will definitely be getting my business in the future.

Went in, never had a tattoo before, but I didn’t need to worry. The staff their was very helpful and friendly. I ended up getting an amazing first tattoo on my forearm of a family crest an it was better than I ever thought I could imagine. Jon did a fantastic job and I will be getting all of my future tattoos at this place; HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! (especially for someone who hasn’t gotten a tattoo done)

It's a fun little shop with lots of personality and a couple shop cats to boot! All of my tattoos so far have been done by Jonas, and I highly recommend him. He does amazing artwork, and he's been extremely patient with me during the more painful tattoos I've gotten.

A friend told me get my first tattoo done here because they were affordable and do great work. He didn't lie. I walked in on a Monday and told them what I wanted, and the shop owner hooked me up with Jonas who gave me my tat on Saturday. He was funny, made the experience great, and my tattoo is freaking awesome!! I can't speak for every artist but if they are like Jonas you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend it and we will be going back for more!

I had a tattoo in mind for a while now and decided it was time to get it done. I called up to the shop to make an appointment. They told me they would have time at 7pm and I told the guy that was perfect. I have him my name and asked him to pencil me in. He no problem we will see you at 7. I was really excited and and left Raleigh a little early( I was driving to Durham because of all the awesome review I had seen and really wanted to get my work done here). I drove 30 minutes in the rain and arrived at 6:30. There were some people in there so I stood off to the side because I was early and wanted to let them finish. As they were talking I hear them saying that they are tight on time and one of the tattoo artists in the side room said I have time I’ll do them. The guy behind the counter said I thought you had someone coming in at 7 and the guy responds no I don’t think they’ll show. I’m worried at this point and walk up the front counter and and told him I had an appointment at 7 and I think he just gave it away. He went to find the guy who had answered the phone for me and when he came back all he said was” there was a miss communication, we can fit you in tomorrow if you want.” I will not be going back. Not only was it over an hour of my time wasted but the disappointment of listing to them give away your time spot. Horrible way to manage a business.

Jonas is an absolutely amazing artist. He has done tattoos for both my husband and I and we are thrilled with them. He took our ideas and turned them into true one of a kind tattoos. We are looking forward to him doing our next works of art! We have already given him the concepts to work with and draw. This shop and all of the artists are simply amazing...no one else does our tattoos. Thanks!!

I would never recommend this shop to anyone! First, unprofessional to tell someone you're unable to do a religious tattoo because of preference or other reasons. Another reason, if you're professional you would take a personal picture drawn special for someone and tattoo it for them not "stencil" it yourself and then tattoo. What's the point, then its no longer personal art. NEVER RECOMMEND TATTOO ASYLUM!

This place is AMAZING. The work they do is AMAZING. Accommodated to my every need and had very reasonable prices. Bruce and Chip are amazing artists and are very personable. I enjoyed my first tattoo experience and will ONLY go back to tattoo asylum for all further tattoos :)
