Let me start off by saying I am EXTREMELY clumsy. I'm probably the last person who needs a piercing on their face however I always wanted my nostril pierced. So I came here. Not only were they SUPER nice about how anxious and nervous I was, but when the inevitable happened and my stud was pulled out and jewelry was lost they helped me get a new one AND put it in not once but TWICE in the past 4 months with absolutely NO question or judgment. They have answered any questions I've had via messenger and even let me come by to check out my concern over an irritation bump. Again no judgment and completely professional. Long review but they have offered a lot of help in the past 4 months.

I had my labret done and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Spencer takes care of his customers by being polite, confident and does not skip the necessary steps to doing a body piercing. I am new to this region of North Carolina so if you are looking for a good place stop on by. If you are nervous, he is more than happy to explain how he will do your piercing step by step. Please make sure if you really want a piercing to book your appointment on the website first.

Everytime I come in everyone is so friendly!! I’ve gotten 3 piercings and some jewelry and I’ve always been blown away by their service, they even help me put the piercing in!! I will always recommend this place keep up the good work everybody!!

Preface: I have not been tattooed here (yet), but have an appointment to begin my sleeve early April, 2020.

This is the type of Tattoo shop I like. Laid back, comfortable, music playing, and friendly, accommodating people. I’ve been here previously to get my son’s ears re pierced and they were great with him (9yo at the time. This place welcomes well behaved children, and there didn’t seem to be any inappropriate imagery in the lobby area, so in terms of a kid friendly tattoo/piercing studio this is about as good as it gets.

The store seems fairly small, but seemed clean. All portfolios and cards are laid out to front so you can see all they offer at one time. The Front desk receptionist was very friendly and immediately referred me to a specific artist based on the design I have in mind. Her recommendation was sound, and I booked an appointment that day with DJ to get the sleeve started.

If you prefer your tattoo shops more casual and relaxed, while maintaining cleanliness and professionalism, this could be your place. I will update this review when I’ve gotten my tattoo started.

Horrible attitude, talent, and all around service. Worst tatoo experience of my life. It's not clean the so called artist Spencer who runs it is lazy and rude with no personality or talent. I was sick for two days afterwards. I lost a ton of blood went into shock n got tatoo flu!! Don't go here!! Stay clear of this place. Very unclean and Spencer acts like he enjoys watching you hurt. I've been tatted all-over the us and never once have I bled out got sick or had tatoo flu. Wouldn't give this place one star if I didn't have to. Get your 6 year old to tat you. The work will look more professional and would be alot more sanitary. Terrible place almost dangerous. Had never gotten sick bled out or bruised from getting a tatoo. Wow this place is unbelievable.

Outstanding artists, customer service, would personally recommend this tattoo shop to anyone looking for a tattoo or a piercing. Spencer the owner is very outgoing and will put your ideas onto paper to make it into some great artwork.

I went to get a piercing and the lady did a great job. She was also very informative about everything. Will definitely come back here for any piercings.

Heavy Metal Tattoo & Piercing is an AMAZING place to go. It's has an amazing atmosphere and nothing but good vibes. Every artist there has excellent quality work and, they will work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want. I recommend this place to everyone!

Ask for Darvis aka DJ for quality tattoos at a respectable price! He did praying hands on my neck about 3 weeks ago and they came out great! The healing process was great because he takes care of his customers! He made sure I was comfortable before doing the tattoo (do to the fact that I had to bend my neck the whole time). Call and ask for him, you’ll be satisfied for sure!
