The Gold Room Tattoo

Got our tattoos from Eric James he was professional, gave informative incite, and worked diligently and quickly. He made sure my first in house tattoo was a professional experience and they held the appointment throughout the brown outs that plagued the city for almost three full days.
I’m pleased with the work and the healing process wasn’t too horrible

I started going here when I first moved to Columbus and pretty much exclusively go here to get tatted at this point. All the lovely humans at The Gold Room are amazing to talk to and are very well versed and experienced in tattoo and piercing culture. My only complaint is that I cannot add more stars. Can’t wait to go back :)

I’ve been hesitant to post this review because I have heard great things about Caitlin (who did my piercing) and the atmosphere and pricing at this location were really great. However, I had a forward helix piercing that was done incorrectly and completely rejected from my ear, leaving me with a pretty decent scar. I waited to post this until I got a second opinion from multiple piercers at another shop who confirmed that the angle was incorrect and the jewelry was too big. I also had some lobe piercings that healed well, but I would personally not get another cartilage piercing here.

Caitlin has pierced me twice now, both times I made appointments on Wednesday’s to take advantage of the 50% off all piercings! She does a great job making sure you are comfortable the entire time and explaining aftercare. I am so glad I have chosen here for my most recent piercings - I’ll definitely be coming back!

I've had several piercings done by Caitlin and just had my first tattoo (at this shop, I've had plenty done elsewhere) done by Charles. Super, super happy with how it's turned out so far and can't wait to go back for my second session. Definitely going to be coming back for tattooing as well as piercings! Everyone is professional, great at what they do, and easy going.

Where to even start, this place is incredible
When you walk in, the atmosphere is immediately unlike anything you'd think of in a typical tattoo shop in the best way possible. The décor and overall aesthetic of the place is very welcoming and cozy, while also looking very professional. It feels like somewhere you'd like to go to just hang out and read a book with a warm drink. Everyone I spoke to was super friendly and easy to talk to as well.

I had the privilege of being tattooed by Jacob. He was super friendly and funny, and I immediately felt good about my decision. He has a very light hand and works efficiently. The whole experience was very relaxing to the point that, had I wanted to, I would have had no trouble simply falling asleep!

I got something simple this time, but after looking at some of his other work, if I ever want something bigger I know who I'll go to! I recommend checking it out, he's a very talented artist.

I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else for a tattoo :)

Caitin is without a doubt, by far the BEST piercer you'll ever meet. Not only does she do a wonderful job piercing you, but she does a lot of work to make sure that your experience is as comfortable as it can be. Everything is clean and super sanitary, which is a huge factor when deciding who to get a piercing from. And as an added bonus, the vibes and people working at The Gold Room are great! They offer free drinks and snacks, and the waiting area is super comfortable. Not only will you walk out having a great experience, but you'll walk out thinking about what you'll get during your next visit :) Thanks Caitlin!

Got pierced by Caitlin and had an amazing experience! She talked me through everything and answered all my questions before she did my nips and hood. Everything healed fast and easy! The curved bars she used for my nip piercings were comfortable and and didn’t tug or get caught on my clothing. Got the jewelry changed out with no issues and still love how they look! My go to piercer from here on out.

I had a few tattoos at The Gold Room including a major coverup done. The shop is fantastic, clean and Charlie is an excellent artist. I would HIGHLY recommend the shop especially Charlie. Won’t find a nicer artist and extremely flexible.

It’s frustrating that I booked a consultation that was canceled and rescheduled after the system allowed me to book, only to find out the day of my appointment that they wouldn’t take my 17 year old son due to their “policy”! It’s just all and all a terrible experience after being reverted by a good friend! I wouldn’t recommend them due to my own personal experience!
