I am just over 24 hours out from my first tattoo from Think Ink, and even though I'm not healed yet, I am SO, SO happy!!! Snax/Derek is the ONLY artist I will let touch me from now on. His line work is so perfect it looks like it came off a laser printer; the edges of the letters aren't feathering at ALL the way the text on my foot (by a different, out-of-state artist) did. He made adaptations to the font for me and they are exactly right. I've been smiling every time I look at my arm all day. Also, he is immaculately clean and he gave me the most comprehensive aftercare (including a starter tube of A&D) that I have ever gotten post-tattoo.
Next month we are starting on a scar cover back piece that I have been trying to get done for years. I have "fired" so many artists for various reasons because this tattoo is so important to me, but Snax seems to be the perfect fit. Not only is he an insanely gifted artist (I was able to watch him working on another client's piece, as well, and his portfolio is amazing) but he is a genuinely NICE guy who will be honest with you about what looks good, even if that means a smaller tattoo. There isn't a primadonna-artsy bone in his body; he is willing to work together to create something that is meaningful to you but that he also knows will be aesthetically mind-blowing. Also, because I know it's important to people who have had a bad experience with another shop in the metro area: He is not judgmental at all about whether you are the tattoo "type." As one of my friends says, I look more like the type of woman to give you a demerit for not having a hall pass than to have tattoos (I do, I just didn't have any that were readily visible), but Snax still welcomed me readily. I also know some people might be intimidated because he looks tough, but I'm pretty sure he's the type of guy who would stop his car to move a turtle out of the road. Quality artist, quality person.
I have, quite literally, gone all over the U.S. trying to find a tattoo artist that I meshed with the way that I have so quickly with Snax, and I am so ecstatic that he is right here in Norman at Think Ink!

I really like tattoos and get tattooed all over but when in Norman there is only one place to go. Josh,Brandon and the rest of the fellas at Think Ink are nice, easy to talk to and will put down a damn good tattoo. Get good tattoos go to Think Ink.

I’ve been getting my tattoos from Josh for a few years now. The artists here are great and patient. Make an appointment for a consultation and get exactly what you want. I wouldn’t trust anyone else in Oklahoma to do my ink.
