I had my first session at Certified Tattoo on Weber a few days ago with Charlie. When I booked my session I submitted two inspiration pics and explained what I wanted, as a start to a half sleeve. After looking at multiple artist's portfolios, I felt like Charlie's style was the best fit for what I was looking for and I'm glad I went with him. He tweaked one of the pieces from the inspo pic just enough to match the style of the other piece I was getting so the two could blend together. He understood exactly the placement and style I was aiming for, and I was pleasantly surprised with how the designs came out. Charlie was super friendly and professional, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Near the end he asked if I've ever done white highlights in any of my tattoos and I haven't before, so I took his suggestion and added the highlights, which make the design look even better in my opinion. I'm so glad I found Certified Tattoo, and Charlie Brown, when I was researching studios in town. I will definitely be coming back to add on to the piece I just got. Thank you Charlie!

Alex Terrones is a severely under-represented artist at this studio. She’s incredibly good with people, attentive to detail, determined to execute the image properly, and considerate about the level of pain you’re experiencing. She even made additional design suggestions after I brought her my concept, making sure that I got exactly what I wanted out of our session. I spoke with the booking agent before setting an appointment with Alex and learned that only 50% of the profits go to the tattooer in this shop. Which is criminal, in my opinion. But if getting a tattoo from Alex means working with a greedy employer, ill do it again and again. Shame on the employer. But they sure know how to pick a good artist. Don’t overlook Alex. She’s new to the industry but I guarantee you that she’ll be a big name within the decade. You’d be lucky to get a piece from her. Do it while you can. Thank you for delivering such a beautiful piece, Alex. I hope to work with you again, when my budget allows. Five stars for Alex, 2 to the shop. Addendum: 2-10-2023 Alex was just unlawfully terminated by Certified Tattoos via a text message that claimed too many sources reported that she was unhappy. Odd timing, considering that this review was posted a week prior to her termination and viewed by hundreds of people in that time frame. Think carefully about supporting tattoo shops that don’t support their employees. Competitive shops in Denver offer a 80/20 or 70/30 split. It’s almost unheard of for tattoo shops to take 50% of the artist’s profits. I, for one, will never step foot in Certified again. I hope you don’t either.

Lakewood location-Favorite studio I’ve ever been to. They have free coffee and tea, it’s so clean, and has a cool vibe. I got lucky and was able to get a walk-in tattoo with Manny Lopez who is so talented, helped me figure out placement and sizing of my design, and was so fun to hang out with. He did an incredible job and I’ll for sure be booking my next larger piece with him.

I got my nipples pierced(something I was going back and forth on for years) and they did absolutely AMAZING; not only was the walk-in process easy and they just so happened to be able to schedule me in later that day, but Krysten and Mario made the process of actually getting pierced quick and easy! I was nervous but they were extremely respectful and made sure I got all the information I needed! They also had a separate room for privacy which I very much appreciated.
