Iron Rose Tattoo

***EDIT*** 3 years later and the tattoo still looks excellent! I get compliments on it all the time. The detail and color are still intact and I’ve never had a touch up done to it. If you’re considering going here, definitely do! Picture added 3/11/23 Came to Georgia for my brothers graduation from basic and decided to get a tattoo I've been wanting for a while. Donie did such an amazing job and if i lived closer this is the shop I'd get all my work done at. Genuinely great work here.

From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. The young lady at the counter is warm and welcoming. After 15 minutes I felt like I knew everyone in there for years. My son and I wanted to get some work done. It was his first one, I just wanted another one to tribute my kids. Donnie ( the owner) is amazing. He worked with my son to make sure he got what he wanted, and not putting a regretful tattoo on himself. Not only is Donnie efficient, he is also super friendly, funny, and full of historical facts about the city. My son is at Ft Benning so we were here visiting. The shop is very clean, and tons of beautiful artwork is displayed. I love traditional work and he does it perfectly. If you are in the Columbus, GA area, and want to get some ink GO HERE!!!! You will not be sorry!!!!!

Donie is awesome! Fair price, quality work, and quick! Not often can you get quick, QUALITY work at a great price. Definitely recommend, and will definitely be back for more!

I didnt get a tattoo here but tattoo artist seemed rude and not helpful in the design process. I feel too many military go here so the artist are annoyed by anyone who comes through the door...just my opinion

I love my tattoo and I really like the atmosphere and friendly people that worked there. I will recommend people go there for your tattoo needs

The older man at desk was very rude and unprofessional to my mother and she’d already been having a bad week and they just made it worse. As a business you should never treat a customer in a rude manner especially if the customer was kind. My mother asked them questions to understand why her scheduled appointment was canceled without any notice after she had rushed to get there and the man proceeded to say “what do you want me to do” and told my mother to quit yapping. Asking questions to have an understanding is NOT yapping sir.all she did was ask questions, in a calm manner. I was going to have some services done here as well but I no longer will. But just because there was one bad apple, doesn’t mean the rest are but that one bad person can make a bad name for the others. Please talk to people with respect.

For a tattoo place that services predominantly military personnel, it is a shame you don’t honor $100 deposits; even if the patron calls to cancel an appointment due to being unable to keep it for military restationing reasons, and then returns to ask that you honor the $100 deposit so they can schedule again months later... only to have the artist disregards them and state the deposit is for the first appt scheduled only and won’t honor it, but another artist says the deposit is intended for “no-call, no-show” purposes. So clearly this policy isn’t adhered to consistently across their studio. $100 thrown away and even with a tattoo that would have been done hourly and likely commissioned over a grand in profit... Therefore, I do not recommended this place for service members if there is even the slightest chance you may get sent TDY or deployed after making a deposit REGARDLESS if you are a responsible patron and cancel before your appt. Thanks for nothing Melissa Posey; the way you do business is “other than honorable” in my books.

I went for a consult with Donie who was very nice but ultimately not helpful. I offered multiple photos for reference but asked the artist to put his own style/spin on the design, giving him creative freedom. He just seemed confused even after explaining, more than once, what I was asking for. Again, nice guy but maybe the kind of place you take a very specific piece to, not somewhere for custom designs.

I got my very first tattoo here and had a great experience! I walked in, showed what I wanted & Donie fit me in before his next appointment. The place was clean, and both employees I came in contact with were very nice and helpful. I would definitely go back for a second tattoo!

My best friend and I went here to get tattoos n i must say the quality of work is pretty awesome they are a little pricey though....the tattoo artist was cool af very down to earth dude i wish i could remember his name
