Black Orchid Tattoo

My best friend and I went in for matching tattoos during her vacation. Jeff did the artwork for us on a walk-in basis and we were more than pleased with the final result. Would like to come back for future work. Thank you for having us, Black Orchid!

DON’T SEE JEFF…. Unless you want to have an excellent time getting a badass tattoo!! He is hilarious and made my friend and I feel comfortable. He drew up some awesome matching-but-different friendship tattoos for us as walk ins. We couldn’t be happier! Thanks Jeff!

The only thing I didn't like was their hourly rate but in the end it was great i got my second tattoo there. Francis the person in the front is very open and welcoming the artist Jeff I believe was very nice and checked in on me and told me a few stories.

I waited two hours for someone to come talk to me about a tattoo. After waiting for some one for about an hour an army dude came in and they helped him out right away. Idk went to another tattoo shop same day glad I did.

My sisters and I came in from Chicago to get matching tattoos from Cari. Not only did she do a great job, but she was super fun to work with. We had such a good time and are bummed we'd have drive 12 hours to get another one from her. Highly recommend.

Great artists and building layout. Always greeted by a kind receptionist. Just check out their website. Their work speaks for itself. I had Mags do my tattoo and it still looks as good as the day it was done 6 years ago. Highly recommend!

Faithful client of Chris Autry at Black Orchid for about 10 years now. Chris and all the other artists in the shop are extremely talented and professional, by far the best customer service out of any tattoo shop in town. You're paying for absolute quality art and professionalism. Love them!

Everyone here was amazing. Jeff took my scribble of a stick figure I've been doodling for 40 years and made very few changes but just enough to make him look adorable. Another artist there worked with my husband to give him a tattoo to surprise me with, even though he was trying to prep for his next appointment. All in all a great experience!

My partner and I were walk in’s and fortunately Jeff was available to do our tattoos. He had a wall of really dope artwork for us to pick from. He got right to work. We had an awesome time with him and are super stoked about our new pieces. Not to mention it was my partner’s first tattoo. Jeff was awesome and so was the shop, with other talented artists we got to watch in the meantime. We really enjoyed our visit and definitely will be back

The team was fantastic. I don’t remember the name of the person that works the front desk but he was awesome! My artist was Jeff! He was a total pleasure and captured my thoughts perfectly. I will be going back for more, for sure!

I have had about 5 sessions with mags. She is fantastic. Ive interacted with the other artist and they have been nothing but nice and friendly to me. They've never given me a issue if i needed to switch days with plenty of notice. I travel from Pennsylvania, i have family in the area. But they are definitely worth the trip. People have bad days, last i checked everyone working in this shop is human. Ive seen nothing but fantastic work come from this shop. Check their Instagram their art speaks for itself.

If you recognize anything as a red flag, look through these unprofessional responses to less than favorable reviews. Every piece of feedback gets a clap back full of excuses. Anyway - I got a tattoo here many years ago and the artist didn’t give me what I asked for, but instead what looks like a clip art knock off. When I look at it now I think about getting it covered up because it’s not what I asked for (i brought in a design - a minimalist face with the eye covered by a rose) just lines, no 3D or detailing. The artist had an attitude when I expressed that the design wasn’t what I’d brought in and I had already paid my deposit so I went through with it. In retrospect I should’ve just walked away so that’s on me.

Was a bad experience upon walking. Girl at the desk had a bad attitude with me & others I had seen coming through. She then took it upon herself to complain to me about customers while I myself was a customer. After waiting 1.5 hours to begin my tattoo, the artist came out with a really awful mock up of the tattoo I wanted. Me being very shy & non confrontational ok’d the tattoo. 5 minutes later he returns & says he must leave. What a waste of a rare day off! Both the artist & front desk girl proceeded to what I felt was pressure me into scheduling another appointment. Once again, me being shy (which this was a great learning experience) agreed to the appointment & paid the $100 deposit. It was my understanding that this deposit was refundable upon cancellation 24 hours in advance. This is what I was told when making the deposit & even when cancelling. When I called to check on the refund, I was told they have only ever done 1 refund & that was not going to be for me. Hours of time wasted & $100 gone. I truly hope they use the money for something good

They’re the Verizon of tattoo shops. Yeah they do amazing work but, you can go somewhere else that does amazing work that won’t make you put down a 300 deposit. And have you possibly wait over 6 months to get tattooed lol.
