One of the coolest, most enjoyable tattoo experiences I've ever had. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile by the receptionist. She ran my idea that I had sketched out past the artists and scheduled me in to get it done. I was lucky enough to get Tommy, just an overall incredible dude. He had already been tattooing all day, but treated me like I was his first one of the day. He absolutely killed my design with the line work and small detail I was hoping for in a relatively difficult area to work in. I appreciate y'all, Blue Hawaii Tattoo! Highly recommend!

Dave was the most accomplished artist I’ve ever used. I gave him a very elaborate turtle design. I fully expected the rendering to be highly simplified. Walked in to ask about price and ideas. They were happy to assist and were very welcoming. Was told what I wanted to do was going to be between $200-300. Made the appointment for a couple days later and was told the artist would text me the design. Never received a text. Called them on the morning of the appointment to confirm we were still good for the tattoo to which they said yes. Still nothing on the design. Arrived and the design was NOTHING like what I had shown them on the consult. They redesigned and I agreed to why the artist drew up. I did not ask the price on the new design, but assumed it was still in the $200-300 range. Boy was I wrong. Over $450!!!! All sorts of fees not to mention tip (yes I still tip because it’s the right thing to do) and a bunch of confusion when they were trying to figure up the final bill I walked out with a decent tattoo. If you go here for some ink, I would get the price in writing to avoid any surprises. Might also help them with the confusion on working their computer system. I could have gotten the same tattoo on the mainland for $125. I justify the experience by calling it my “Maui tattoo excursion.” Next time I will take the doors off helicopter ride.
