I contacted Jon early in my trip to Kauai to schedule an appointment for a tattoo of a rooster. From the beginning he was easy to contact, eager to put something together and pumped to do the tattoo. It just made me more excited to even get the tattoo done. He was able to do a schedule change the same week and even a last minute change to the tattoo. The whole experience when I was there was more than I expected. Great conversation, amazing attention to detail and a clean and relaxing environment. I get a travel tattoo everywhere I go and this has to be my best experience yet! 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am a 54 year old Vancouverite getting my very first tattoo at the end of an amazing vacation. John was professional from the second He answered the phone through our consultation. He walked me through the steps, and explained every detail for a first timer to fully understand. He quoted a price, we worked on the design together and I am over the moon with the result. I recommend him fully!! The artwork is gorgeous. I went with a tribal Honu with sharks inside.

I highly recommend Blue Wave Tattoo, (now that I’m the unofficial outside sales rep for Blue Wave since my tattoo is of a ‘blue wave’ 😁)!! Seriously speaking- Jon is a really talented artist that has no front or frills to hide behind, someone who is honest and let’s his (line) work speaks for itself- which is f’n amazing!! Jon knocked out my wife and my tattoos in about 3 hours (which we expected 4-5hrs total) and even scheduled it before our flight departure. If you’re visiting the island or you’re a local (which we felt like a local while being there..) and wanting a tattoo- then schedule an appointment and have Jon perform his artwork upon your body! Good conversation, great music (thanks for turning us onto Oliver Tree- we can’t stop playing his music now!), very efficient, clean, convenient location, and of course- the best tattoo artist on the islands!
