Can I come to your shop if I got a tattoo at another place? I would like a touch-up but cannot get ahold of my artist that did the tattoo, I messed up with the healing process and I take full blame for that.
Had a small walk-in done by Evan, he’s fantastic!! Had not been able to find a shop with my vibe in KC but this hit it out of the park. We felt so welcomed and the shop is awesome. I’m so excited to do more with Evan 😁
Evan is the man! He is a cool dude and was very nice and knowledgeable about first time tattoo! I was nervous but it was just like talking with a brother! Thanks again Evan! 10/10!!
We walked in to be acknowledged incredibly rudely by a gentleman whom works at this business. Any business that cant be at the very least cordial, will never receive my business. My husband and I immediately walked right back out the door.
Literally amazing! If you’re getting your first or any tattoo—come here! The environment is very clean and welcoming. I have anxiety and was very nervous walking in, however Zach was very welcoming, friendly, and overall so chill that my nerves disappeared. I sent him the design I wanted and he did exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it! It was my first big tattoo so I was nervous about the pain however Zach constantly asked me how I was feeling and doing and made me very comfortable! Again, get your tattoo here, and book your appointment with Zach! His work is amazing, so worth it. Thank you so much!!
I’ve gotten work done by Evan twice and both times I was extremely happy with the results! The shop is very clean and welcoming. Will definitely be back! :)
Got my first tattoo today from Zach. I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. Zach was extremely helpful and made my vision come to life. These guys know what they are talking about, so make sure to get their recommendations regarding your tattoo. On top of that Gold Cathedral is clean and has an awesome vibe. I look forward to my next trip there! Update: Have been in a few more times. As my guy Zach says "i have the tattoo bug". Zach did one for me today that is cooler than I could have imagined. I just gave him a direction and let him take over creatively and he didn't disappoint. If you haven't I highly recommend letting Zach and Evan(saw him recently, he awesome too) and get creative with your tattoo. You won't regret it!
Awesome Environment! Showed up for their Walk-ins, met with Evan, gave him my ideas and what I was wanting. He came up with a design even better than what I had envisioned. Evan was clean, professional, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I’ll definitely be back!
I got my first tattoo here a few days ago, and it was the BEST place ever! I was so excited to get my tattoo here and it was such a great experience! I plan on coming back soon to get another! Great artists, great place, great everything!!!
This was my third tattoo with Zach Arlan, and he never disappoints! Beautiful work, amazing conversation, and A+ professionalism. Gold Cathedral is a cool location with a fun, comfortable atmosphere. 11/10 would recommend Zach and Gold Cathedral!
This is hands down one of the best shops in KC! You feel welcomed the moment you come into the shop. They’ve created an open space atmosphere with great music and have filled it with positive vibes and pure talent. My favorite parts were how clean the shop was and listening to the artists hype each other and the clients up about what they were getting done or working on. You can tell that everyone there is very knowledgeable and loves what they do. I got a forearm tattoo done by Stephanie and it turned out incredible! I changed my design plan a few days before the appointment and Stephanie was more than accommodating. I came in and she provided a few different sizes and talked me through what was going to look the best. It was very easy to trust her and the vision she had as her talent speaks for itself. She did a great job of ensuring I was comfortable every step of the way. Not to mention she was down for the Puddle of Mud songs lol I know I will definitely be returning to Gold Cathedral for another tattoo in the future! Thank you for the dope experience!
I am so glad I found Gold Cathedral! I had been struggling to find a tattoo shop and artist that really matched my vibe in Kansas City! The owner and all of the artist were so welcoming and Interacted with guest even if they weren't there for them by greeting them, seeing what they were getting, telling them how good it looks, etc. I have been working with Evan and he made sure that I was comfortable and really communicated with me during my visits there. I would honestly recommend anyone here because of how good their work is!
I didn’t even make it to get service because the owner was rude and disrespectful. I wasn’t even planning on getting a tatt more so there to support my daughter on her first tattoo. Nevertheless we waited 2 hours to get talked bad too and just left
This place was great! I was tattooed by a very talented artist named Stephanie. She was super cool and funny and made me feel very comfortable during the experience. The tattoo came out better than I even anticipated. She was very patient with re-sizing and perfect placement. I would definitely come back and would probably only request Stephanie. The shop is also very cool. It’s very spacious with exposed brick and old reclaimed church pieces. There’s a lot of awesome historical tattoo photos and various traditional tattoo art pieces displayed. Music was on point and also added to the experience. All in all, would highly recommend this shop, and Stephanie in particular.
I had an appointment for a pretty big tattoo here. It was my second tattoo and I was still pretty nervous. The lady who did my tattoo was named Stephanie. I found her on Instagram and really liked her work. She was not too openly friendly or comforting to me. She just walked up to me and showed me the design she created and asked if this is fine. No introduction or anything. When she started tattooing she never asked if I needed a break or if I was doing okay. I think with tattoos, especially bigger ones, the artist should be considerate of the person. I am also an anxious person and just felt weird. I don't mind that she did not talk to me while she worked because she was focusing, but I just did not feel welcomed. The tattoo did turn out great though. She also did not tell me the price of the tattoo until after we were done which also made me nervous. ALWAYS make sure you know the price before getting anything done on you. She was a very talented lady and did a great job, but the way she did things I did not like.
Great experience at Gold Cathedral today! I went for a walk-in tattoo and from the moment I stepped in, I knew I made a great shop choice. The atmosphere is very chill and laid back, and they play great music lol. Evan did my tattoo and he was simply amazing! He was so kind and welcoming, this was only my 2nd tattoo so I’m still new and I get nervous but he made the process so easy! He drew a great design and the tattoo came out so clean and beautiful! He was also very thorough when going over aftercare. I will definitely be back to get more ink from Evan!
Went in as a walk in and worked with Zak. Very First tattoo artist that told me I could use bright colors like a red and yellow on my darker skin tone. The colors are popping and I can’t wait to schedule a larger scale piece. Definitely referring the friends here.
Stephanie is the absolute best! She did an amazing job on my tattoo and I will forever get all my tattoos by her!
First time visiting the shop last week for a walk-in, Stephanie did an AMAZING job on my tattoo. I couldn't be happier with the end results. Will definitely be returning in the future!
