All female staff and very knowledgeable about piercings as well as a great selection of jewelry. Tattoo artist does amazing work. They have been rated the best tattoo parlor in Western North Carolina for over 15 years straight. Please adhere to their policies and schedule your appointments through their website. I've received many tattoos and piercings from them for over 12 years. They never disappoint!

Went to Jenn for a septum piercing and she was fantastic! She had such a positive, firecracker kind of vibe! She was very informative about all the cleaning and upkeep, and was fast, efficient and clean. I will definitely be returning for future piercings.

Our 5 year old daughter decided she wanted her ears pierced. After a lot of research, we made an appt with Jenn. I am so incredibly thankful we booked with her. She was AMAZING! I was extremely impressed. Of course this was a scary time for a little one, and for mommy too :) But she made my little girl so comfortable by asking her questions to divert her attention. She made us laugh! She was extremely meticulous and was sure that we were pleased with the placement. She talked her through every step. I don’t usually take the time to make reviews. However, Jenn totally deserves 5 stars! She definitely has a passion for what she does and we are so thankful! Recommend 100%

Love my experiences here! You need an appointment, you can't just show up. Because of this, you have your professional's undivided attention whether you are getting a tattoo or a piercing. Shop is incredibly clean. You have to wear a mask regardless of mandates. These ladies don't play with health and safety. That's exactly the mentality that sets them apart. Specialized attention, safe and respectful atmosphere (but not boring 😉), and completely unapologetic about doing what is best for the well-being of their staff and customers. High quality work and high quality supplies. They've been an Asheville go-to for a long time for a reason. 1000% recommend.

I looked at the reviews of several other places before deciding on Man's Ruin, nowhere else had the glowing reviews regarding the staff. Not only are they female owned and operated, super friendly, the shop is welcoming, clean and meticulously maintained. Piercer Jenn is spectacular! She told me everything up front, then again as well did it step by step. Jenn is a person who loves what she does and it shows through her work! Professional and kind! I would recommend this shop to anyone and I will definitely be back for my next piercing.

I love this place and these ladies. Heather did my first tattoo about 20 years ago and Jenn did my nose piercing about 5 years ago. Just the other day I was in there to buy a piece (turned into pieces) of jewelry and Jenn listened and understood exactly what I wanted and then showed me with complete detail on all the options. She took the time and attention to detail to make sure my peircings were the right size and filed to perfection. All while engaging in insightful conversation with me. She makes you feel like a friend even if you've never met her. Back when Heather did my first tattoo, I had a bit of anxiety attack during the process. Both her and Jenn went above and beyond to take care of me. They calmed me down, brought me water, and assured me it was very common and that I wasn't weird. It was such a safe place. I would recommend them to anybody interested in a tattoo or peircing.

I don't even know how to properly describe how amazing Jen is but I will try because she deserves ALL the hype. I got a conch and helix piercing. I was nervous, especially for the conch. Jen made me feel comfortable, informed, affirmed, and like I want to be her best friend all at once. She went above and beyond talking to me, making me feel safe, I never once felt judged or dumb or rushed for being nervous. Jen walked me through breathing, was quick and efficient, and made the process fun. If you're someone like me who always feels *not cool enough to be here* when you go to a tattoo or piercing shop, I can promise you, you won't feel that way at Man's Ruin. The most professional people, cleanest/safest environment, and people who make you feel like you're hanging out with friends. I'm blown away! Jen is by far the best piercer and practitioner of just making people smile and feel better about themselves. She's a bright shining light in this town and is making a true impact in people's lives. I know the confidence and warmth I felt today will stay with me forever. The jewelry selection is extensive and all implant grade. If you've never gotten pierced with something more than the silver stuff you have to twirl and takes 6+ months to heal then you're in for a treat. Plus the aftercare advice and instructions are thoughtful and smart. I wouldn't trust anyone else with piercings. Jen's extensive knowledge, professionalism, passion for their craft, and warmth are unmatched. So yes, look no further. Man's Ruin has got you! <3

jenn is AMAZING! i got my belly pierced today by her and she made the experience better than i could’ve ever imagined. she explained the procedure so well and made sure i was calm and comfortable. she got the piecing through quickly with very little pain and i absolutely love it. if i could give her more than 5 stars i would for sure. thank you so much!!

Heather has done 4 awesome tattoos for us and Jenn has done piercings on almost the whole family There is no better artist. Only recommendation for us.
