I've been here twice. Jeff 'Pitbear' is incredible!! I am so happy with my tattoos! This studio is the nicest I've ever been to. It's a spa-like atmosphere. People are wonderful! Can't imagine going anywhere else!!

My partner and I saw Justin this weekend while vacationing in Asheville and let me just say, he is freaking AWESOME. He was super fun and comfortable to work with, he was extremely knowledgeable and made the entire experience amazing. He was ready with ideas and stencils upon a arrival and was ready to go with great energy when we got there. Both me and my partner have a few tattoos already and the ones Justin did for us are the best by far. We can’t thank him enough and will definitely be returning.

We saw Justin and he was fantastic. I would highly recommend for many reasons: he has great vibes, AMAZING artwork (even more so considering its only using black), he was reasonable in price, took pride in it being his piece, and he gave suggestions to help ensure you were on the same page and to provide new ideas. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a high quality tattoo.

Elias did an AMAZING job on my tattoo!!! I'll definitely return for some more work. The environment and atmosphere at Zen Ink was super chill and spotlessly clean. Rhett greeted me as soon as I arrived at the shop and made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. Best customer service I've experienced in a while! Thanks for an awsome experience!!

I can only speak to the reiki and gift shop, but I adore this spot in the River Arts District. Janet creates the most loving and supportive atmosphere for her reiki sessions and uses her intuition and empathy to help clients learn, heal, and grow. I'm eternally grateful to her! Besides lovely Janet, Zen Ink also has an amazing store full of beautiful and delightful crystals, jewelry, and other bits & bobs.

Kass did an absolutely life changing peircing for me and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience! Super clean environment with a beautiful shop to buy from.

Zen Ink! Wow, where to start, first off all the space, THE SPACE. Janet and her daughter have created such a beautiful shop here for their Asheville friends and friends from afar. From crystals, to all other spiritual necessities you can think of (they also carry Anima Mundi products, bonus) they had it all and all of it held its own beauty as well as added to the total beauty of the shop. Next, my personal favorite part, meeting the ever so beautiful soul, Elias. Elias my friend, stay golden baby. Elias made my entire tattooing experience WHOLE. To keep it all simple, he showed up for me and didn’t stop showing up until it was time to go our separate ways. Thank you so much for giving me everything I’ve ever desired in the body art experience, this is coming from someone with 6 tattoos already. So much gratitude to Zen Ink for holding such love for all who enter their doors. My boyfriend got his ear pierced with a lovely being whose name we can’t recall but whose energy will never be forgotten. Thank you Beautiful. We felt heard, seen, and held throughout our entire experience at Zen Ink, Moni and Juan will DEF be back lol. Gratitude, from our souls to yours!

I had a wonderful experience with Zen Ink! In the months leading up to the appointment, the artist (Payne) revised the tattoo sketch many times per some really specific requests on my end. During the appointment, they were lovely and the ambience of the whole place is very relaxing. Would highly recommend Zen Ink! (And Payne!)

The artists are awesome and the atmosphere is absolutely the best. Never did I feel pressured or rushed into choosing a design for my tattoo. I had a fairly large tattoo covered/reworked by Nic and they did better than I could have ever imagined. I will definitely be using Nic again for future tattoos!

I can’t say enough great things about Zen Ink! I had been in to see Kass in September for a piercing and had such a great experience with her that I purposely booked another with her when I was back in town for New Years Eve. While I’ll admit to being slightly upset that my appointment was delayed, Kass, Janet, and Violit more than made up for it. And even when I stopped back in 2 days later with a slight concern about having enough room for healing, Violit took the time to come in, listen to me ramble on about it, and to address the small issue before I drove home 7 hours away. I would happily book another piercing at Zen Ink before even considering researching a piercer closer to where I live. Phenomenal experiences both times!

As a local, and return client to Zen Ink, I was surprised by the unwelcoming atmosphere during this last visit due to the manager Janet. Her intrusive interruptions of my piercing session encouraging our piercer Kass to rush etc. was unprofessional in addition to her overall rudeness to myself and the small group of us whom had long standing appointments for a special occasion. To be treated so coarsely and reprimanded for quietly talking among ourselves while we choose jewelry was an embarrassment to the professionalism upheld by our technician Kass. It’s a pleasure as a local small business owner to support other local businesses, but sadly Janet’s crass mistreatment of our patronage means I will not be returning to Zen Ink.

If I was able to just rate my piercer Kass this rating would be 5 stars but unfortunately my rating for the establishment and my experience as a whole is 2 stars. A small group of us decided to celebrate my sisters birthday with piercings. Janet, the manager, was rude and incredibly unprofessional from the moment she came into the room. She belittled our piercer in front of us and treated our group as if we were a nuisance. She made what should have been a fun celebratory experience into an uncomfortable and overall unpleasant experience. My piercing is great and Kass was wonderful but Janet a little kindness would have gone long way!

my husband and I both got tattoos today from Kelli and Kristin, awesome experience all around! love love love how my tattoo turned out - Kelli does amazing designs, works quickly, and is so personable and friendly. and the rest of the shop was super cool too, tons of gemstones and crystals and other metaphysical goods.

I called about getting a septum piercing. I spoke to the owner’s mother about it, and she said to fill out the consent forms and to come on in. She said I could address all of my questions to the piercer about what I wanted when I arrived. I filled out the form and went into the store. Once I got there the piecer didn’t have any suitable jewelry for a septum piercing in the gauge that I wanted. I left without the piercing I wanted because the person scheduling just wanted to get me in the door in spite of not being able to provide the service requested. This is not the type of service I expect, and I certainly didn’t appreciate the waste of time.

My partner and I both chose to get out first tattoos through a flash sale done by Nic - and it was the best choice. We were both exceedingly happy with the results! Being my first tattoo, I had a case of indecisiveness on placement and size- Nic was so affirming through the whole process and never made me feel silly or dumb despite my many questions. They were so chill and easy to chat with, and of course Zen Ink has immaculate vibes. Thank you for a wonderful experience that we still talk about!

All artists are unique, professional, with their own aesthetic and personality. Look at their work on the website. You can't go wrong. The atmosphere is comfortable with a chill vibe.

I had a reading from Jessica Janes, a.k.a. "Nomadic Owl." Although I never really believed in the psychic field, she was spot on. She also gave me some help in the store with all the different stones and what they meant. She was super friendly, generous, funny, and knowledgable.
