Several months ago, my husband made an appointment for a larger chest/arm piece. He was told he had to wait six months for Lee to have an opening. He said to come two weeks before the appointment to review his drawing and make any changes. He went and Lee only had a few small pieces printed (not exactly what he had asked for) and otherwise just said what he was going to do. He wasn’t prepared at all. He asked my husband to change his original idea and he agreed, waiting another week without hearing back. He messaged him to see when the full design would be ready. He then told him he tattoos dragons by free hand, this was not mentioned before. It was already too expensive and we were concerned about it being free hand. Just wasted the $300 deposit! Also the front desk is useless, no calls or follow-ups.

Daniel and Lee are Amazing! Easy to work with, very talented and profesional artists; just all around great people!

This place is awesome! Everyone who works there are genuine, down to earth people and they work with you to make sure your work is perfect before you leave. I have never ever had a bad tattoo here. Lee and Daniel are true artists and their staff are very helpful with making sure your tattoo experience is easy and as comfortable as possible. 5 stars all day!!

Just got a tattoo with a lot of sentimental meaning done by Jenny. The shop is very clean and I chose her because of reviews I had read and I really liked her aft style. She was meticulous and did a fabulous job. I am truly happy with my tattoo which I got for my granddaughter. Very happy with it and would definitely go back.

Daniel is amazing both as a person and an artist.

I've been coming here for quite a few years now and their work really holds up! Lee and Daniel both have extraordinarily good customer relations that make you feel welcomed, as a place you'll want to go back to (unlike a lot of shops in the Raleigh area where the general vibe is "give us your money and get out") Their work really speaks for itself, and they will work with you to make sure the design is perfect before your appointment date. If you're a tattoo enthusiast I highly recommend you check this place out if you haven't already!!

Clean but entirely overpriced. For 2 words going down my calves they wanted 750 not including a tip. Shop around people. Got it done for 175 plus tip. It was done right and looks amazing. Thank you Joe D. At UNDERGROUND ART in Raleigh.

I stopped in after a haircut next door on a whim. I have other tattoos but my old place downtown let me down recently with an artist who adopted the attitude that he was doing you a favor rather than providing a service; in short he was an a-hole. The inside was very clean, and they accepted my walk in after some covid protocols which I appreciate. They took my info, made my appointment and were right on time when i showed up. Jennie was great, knows what she is doing and I’ve healed up nicely after one week. I will be back.

Finding the tattoo artist for you is like finding the mechanic for your car .. there are a ton pf good artists ..heck even great artists ..but it does not mean the best artist is best for your job or for you for that matter . having some one who undersatnds and appreciates and takes his time out of a busy schedule just to exchange ideas and then take the next step and slowly guides you towards what you need rather than what you want . Lee and Daniel both take immense pride in thier work and justly so . If they feel what you want is not going to be the best possible outcome for the art artist and the canvas they would very humbly let you know and explain why . Now that shows the pride of a true artist ..money wont buy it

Jenny did such a great job on my bee! I love it so much. This is the second small tattoo she has done on me and I’m just so happy I’ve used the team at Red Leaf! Such a great shop, really calm and clean atmosphere. I just can’t like these guys enough. So impressed!

I decided to get a half sleeve tattoo as my first tattoo with Lee. I could not have had a better experience for my first tattoo. Lee was nothing but a class act from beginning to end. The quality of work on my sleeve is beyond what I ever envisioned it to be. Lee is insanely talented yet very humble and takes a lot of pride in his work and art he is a really great guy. Best experience possible and I get to carry this amazing piece of art with me forever!
