Infamous Ink Tattoo Studio

Andre at Infamous Ink is 🔥🔥🔥! I was very hesitant about getting a tattoo in Charlotte, as I am loyal to my uncles shop in New York. I scoped out several tatto shops in Matthews and Charlotte, Infamous Ink had a vibe going that none of the other joints had! From the comfy seats, to the rustic, like warehouse look, the energy was great. Everyone was very chill. I consulted with Andre and now three tats in and still a sleeve and back mural to finish...I would never let anyone else Ink me. Andre is responsive to any questions and concerns you have, he wants you to be happy with the drawing, he takes pictures of the area you want the tatt and superimposed his drawing on that pic, so you get a real life depiction of what the tattoo would look like on your body. He takes into consideration your vision, while offering his guidance on placement. Recently, I got a tattoo and wanted it place a certain way, Andre explained why he didn't think that way would work, i understood, and changed the orientation. Andre is amazing! Sanitation 100%...everything he used was new, at the end of the session he cleaned everything thoroughly, right down to taking the plastic off the bed, spraying it, and putting new plastic on the bed. He changed gloves several times during the process. I am a germaphobe...I felt like I was in a sterile environment. 😁🙏🏽

Absolutely love my tattoo Mike did! He was super nice, as well as everyone else i met at the shop. Shop was super clean and comfortably. Definitely, will come back for my next tatoo and recommend them!

I've been here multiple times before and been meaning to write a review. Well today is the day, had an amazing time getting tattooed by the very sweet and talented Madison. This place is really cool and they really make sure you have a nice experience. I'll always come back here, you can't go wrong with any artist you choose, also been tattooed by Mike H., super talented with a really light hand. Worth every cent!

Mike took the time to help design both of my larger tattoos. Was able to merge the style of two different themes that look great. Process was professional and will not go anywhere else. Looking forward to my next one.

I’ve gotten all my tattoos here and wouldn’t go anywhere else! The studio is very clean and sanitary, and everyone there is great. Chris is my go to artist, he’s awesome. Highly recommend going here!

Amazing experience. They treat you like you are family and there tattooing is outstanding.

I got a tattoo from Chris last year with my sister and really liked it so I was excited about getting another piece from the same artist again. He remembered me and we talked about doing a butterfly piece. I showed him 2 examples of what I would kind of want mashed together. He drew up a design that had none of the elements I asked for and nicely said it was not the design for me but that we are close and I trust him. I even drew up my own design by hand but before I could even give him the design he "fired" me as a client. I had been nothing but cordial to him so I'm not sure why or what happened. He refunded my deposit at least. I guess he just wanted to do a basic stencil like last time, I'm not sure. The 3 stars is because I still love the older tattoo. Wish you the best 👌

We walked in for last-minute tattoos and were amazed at how neat (and huge) the inside of the studio is! Our artists were very friendly and gave us exactly what we asked for. We’ll definitely be back again!

Little late for this review but After a little bit of confusion from another artist booking my appointment but not showing up or working at another location (and not informing me), I was so worried I would not be able to get inked that day. I had arranged for a sitter and everything. But Cris (I believe) was a total professional. He was apologetic, understanding and fit me in. I know it backed up his day but he went above and beyond. My butterfly represents so much to me and I’m so lucky that he was able to do it. I’ll ONLY allow him to tattoo me from now on. I’m a return customer and Mike has done several of my pieces. He’s incredible too. They are clean, take pride in there work and have fair prices. I’m so thankful for everything.

This shop is a blessing to our community. Some of the most talented artist in Charlotte and one of the cleanest and most unique environments. The hidden door makes me smile every time. Do yourself a favor and go visit even if it’s just to check out the shop.
