I used Royal Ink for my very first tattoo!!! From the moment my friends and I walked in, we were met with such kind people and had an amazing experience. Dustin Clark was our tattoo artist and he made me feel so calm and truly took time to talk me through the whole process. Dustin made me feel super comfortable and was so kind to me, especially since I was nervous, this was a huge help. I could not have asked for a better experience. We definitely will be using Dustin Clark again.

This review is a little late. I took my daughter here for an ear piercing. We, regrettably, went somewhere else and had one piercing done and were completely rushed (kids first piercing) my daughter would not let them finish her piercing, not a chance! She needed a little tlc to ease her anxiety about the piercing (which she did want and had been asking for). Then we found Marissa at Royal Ink. She was soooooo sweet and patient with my daughter (8) I highly recommend. It's 3 months later and my daughter just mentioned how much she liked Marissa still.

The front ladies who checked us in were very nice but after that the experience goes downhill. The atmosphere in the shop itself is less than welcoming, it was dirty with cups left out from either the staff or previous customers. Our tattoo artist was friendly but hardly listened to us. My roommate and I got tattoos at the same time and brought in reference photos to show. The guy kept going on his instagram or Snapchat while we were listening off what we wanted and we frequently had to repeat ourselves. He riddled off a price off the top of his head for both of our tattoos and the tattooing process itself wasn’t bad. He genuinely cared about my well-being and seemed to take pride in his work which I can respect. Afterwards, before we could even talk about aftercare, he wanted a five star review right then and there. I can respect the grind and wanting a good review but we hadn’t even stepped out of the small studio where we got inked. His apprentice was spectacular, their attitude was bright and bubbly while being chill and relaxed. They constantly gave good advice and provided small talk where the tattoo artist himself got quiet in between tattoos. I wish I got tattooed by them instead. Anyway, he changed the initial price on us at the end of the session and this being my roommate and I’s first tattoo and artist ourselves we didn’t question it. In my own work I strive to price myself accordingly and I expected the same from him. I only understood after talking to family and friends that he took advantage of our situation and we overpaid. He also forgot to go over aftercare instructions when we couldn’t submit a review cause the Wi-Fi was so bad in that area of the mall.
