BONES Poke & Smoke

Brandi did an awesome tattoo for me. I'm currently obsessed and can't stop looking at it. Can't wait to add some more.

I just wanted to share my appreciation for Nichole, the shop manager of Bones Poke & Smoke. I was in from out of town for a medical specialist appointment, and was sent for a CT scan. I had to remove my piercing for the CT scan, but had a pretty big gauge piercing that was clamped together. I tried but was unable to pry it open and I knew the radiology facility would not be able to. I found Bones Poke & Smoke on google maps, and was waiting at the door when Nichole came to open the shop. I was frantic and was asking for a favor to have her use her tools to remove my piercing. She was so sympathetic and turned on the lights in the shop and then immediately helped me so I could be on my way to my imaging appointment. I know this review isn't for a piercing or a tattoo, but the way the shop is run and managed, says a lot. Thank you Nichole for all your help. I wish you and the shop the best of luck!

The second picture was my reference photo. A lit match. I came back a few weeks later because the tattoo crusted/scabbed over for 3 weeks. I have a sleeve so I knew this wasn’t right. He ~apologized~ for how awful the tattoo came out 😍☺️ I would go to hell before I ever went back to this tattoo shop

I came in for a little Friday the 13th tattoo and Ricki tattooed me. She was incredibly friendly and helped ease my nerves about it all. Understood me on future tattoos and helped me decide on which shade to color. I definitely will be coming back to see her.

Love this place and the artists. I’ve visited Bones on many occasions and I’m always pleased with the cleanliness of the shop and the energy the people who work there bring to it. This time Rickie did my tattoos and waxing. She did excellent work, and made me feel comfortable. I absolutely love my tattoos and I will be/am a returning customer. I highly recommend her, she is amazing!

They were excellent in how they handled my daughter and a highly anticipated nose piercing.

I have many tattoos, but the tattoo that I received from Ricki is not a good one. It's splotchy, uneven, and the more it peels and heals the worse it looks. I'm super disappointed that I paid $100 for this. Ricki also did not say that she was a new tattoo artist, about 8 months into her practice I think is what she said. I am happy to work with new tattoo artists, as long as they are up front about their work and their time of working. My best friend and I came in for matching tattoos, and I went first. When she started on me the tattoo gun she was using wasn't working properly, so she had to grab a new one. This second one she grabbed also wasn't working so she had to grab a third one which worked. But as she preceded to start tattooing me she said "I've only used this one on fake skin". Which I know doesn't affect anything because fake and real skin is basically the same thing but still, that's really NOT something you should say to your client. She continued working on my tattoo and in total it took 2.5 hours to complete my tattoo that was only simple black line work of three flowers and was only 6 inches tall. I wanted to get color in my tattoo but I did not want to sit there for another hour. It should have taken max 30 minutes to do. She also said during the tattoo that she would only charge me $90-$80, but instead charged me $100 when we went to pay up front. When Ricki started on my best friends tattoo her foot pedal went out three times, and she had to ask around the shop it seemed to borrow other artists equipment. Also during my best friends tattoo Ricki kept getting distracted, and would stop to talk often. While talking to another artist in her booth, Ricki yelled "No!" while tattooing my friend. This is tattoo artist 101 that you do NOT yell or say anything negative while tattooing your client. It was frustrating, and I wish we had a better experience. Ricki is very nice, but I think that she needs to learn better tattoo etiquette when working with c

I LOVE my new tattoo!!! Rickie is fabulous! I went to her for some leopard print on my upper arm. I just took my bandage off and it looks totally awesome. Rickie sat down with me and discussed fully what I was looking to do. She made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. She kept me posted as to what was happening and where we were with the tattoo process. The shop was clean and the rest of the staff was professional and fun too. I’ll definitely be back to see Rickie again.

Great vibe one stop shop

Cailey's line work and coloring is above phenomenal. I mean look at these spaceships. There is more work to come but I'm so excited for the end result. She is very professional with her customers, always makes sure she has it right the first time and explains the whole process fluently. The after care is simple and I'm glad I didn't buy into any of the 3rd party after care tattoo products. The shop itself is very clean, uncluttered, and everyone there is very friendly and family oriented. Fantastic crew and with a Starbucks down stairs and a few casual places for dining makes for easy breaks between sessions. I couldn't reccomend a more professional and amazing group of people to work in a tattoo shop. Thank you all for a wonderful first time experience.

Cool place, horrible tattoo. My tattoo was done by Rickie, it was absolutely horrible. I had Roman numerals on my arm, the line work is horrible, crooked and not straight. Each date is off centered not in a straight line, the shading to correct the bad line work made the entire tattoo crooked. My husband also had a tattoo by her and his line work is also crooked. Do not recommend. Also they do not do refunds for bad work! We will both now be spending double to cover up horrible tattoos.

I’ll be a lifetime patron. Richard was a consummate professional and his customer service was top tier. Even threw on some Stranger Things for us to watch during. Some serious talent and quality folks here.

Got my first piercing here. The shop was clean and neat. I was greeted apon entering. And was seen soon thereafter. The piercing was fast and the after care instructions were clear and concise. I would recommend.

Small selection of Vapes, but decent pricing. They are looking into expanding there selection and I will most definitely be back. I'm also looking forward to getting some ink done and Brandi is at the top of my list.
