I was told I could come in for a walk in appointment and told them exactly what I was looking for (a vine around my finger and a line of a mountain on my hand) and said it was no problem. When I arrived the artist came up to me and refused to tattoo my hand saying I was a child and that he would not tattoo a child’s hand. He was very rude about the whole thing.

This place is probably my favorite shop on earth! Been tattooed here twice, first by Joe and then recently by Slim. Everyone is so, so kind and also crazy talented! The shop is super clean and honestly really beautiful. Prices are a steal for the quality of work you get. Both Joe and Slim felt like old friends of mine immediately–I wish I could just hang in the shop all day! Every other artist I’ve seen is super friendly as well. Basically this place rocks. Can’t wait to come back!!

Hands down one of the best tattoo shops in Richmond. I had a custom piece done by Nate who brought my idea to life so much better than what I could have hoped for. They maintain a clean and inclusive environment, and I love that the new client intake form asks for preferred pronouns. The little after care goodie bag was a good touch too. Highly recommend YBT!
